Hailing from East Sheen, London, Tom Hardy began his career in the theater. In 2003 Hardy starred in Blood and Arabia, We'd All Be Kings at the Royal Court Theatre, earning him the London Evening Standard Theatre Award for Outstanding Newcomer and a nomination for The Laurence Olivier Award for Most Promising Newcomer. Hardy soon thereafter garnered accolades in the film world with his portrayal of Heathcliffe in the Masterpiece Classic retelling of 'Wuthering Heights and also for his flashy turn opposite Daniel Craig in Matthew Vaughns LAYER CAKE. More recently, Hardy starred opposite Gerard Butler in director Guy Ritchie's London gangster film, ROCKNROLLA and can soon be seen playing Britains most infamous prisoner (Charlie Bronson) in the transformative, tour-de-force role which headlines Nicolas Winding Refns BRONSON. Critics have universally raved for Hardys work in this gritty, polarizing film. Currently, Tom is starring in WARRIOR for Lionsgate and director Gavin OConnor. He will follow that up by playing a lead role opposite Leonardo DiCaprio in Christopher Nolans highly anticipated blockbuster INCEPTION.
