Rolling through the Bay -100000 toothpicks sculpture

Thirty five years ago I had yet to be born, but artist Scott Weaver had already begun work on this insanely complex kinetic sculpture, Rolling through the Bay, that he continues to modify and expand even today. The elaborate sculpture is comprised of multiple "tours" that move pingpong balls through neighborhoods, historical locations, and iconic symbols of San Francisco, all recreated with a little glue, some toothpicks, and an incredible amount of ingenuity. He admits in the video that there are several toothpick sculptures even larger than his, but none has the unique kinetic components he's constructed. Via his website Weaver estimates he's spent over 3000 hours on the project, and the toothpicks have been sourced from around the world: " I have used different brands of toothpicks depending on what I am building. I also have many friends and family members that collect toothpicks in their travels for me. For example, some of the trees in Golden Gate Park are made from toothpicks from Kenya, Morocco, Spain, West Germany and Italy. The heart inside the Palace of Fine Arts is made out of toothpicks people threw at our wedding." tinkering.exploratorium.edu www.flickr.com

2222 Toothpicks in my Beard

After watching Beardpick put 2000 toothpicks in his beard, I just had to try it. Of course I had to put more in so I went to 2222. I was going to go for 3000 but 2222 was a better number to me. Watch the video that inspired it here: www.youtube.com Many people have asked so here goes: - I've been growing this beard for about a year and a half when we made the video. - It took about an hour and a half to do this, stopping for pictures and such along the way. - I stopped before 3000 just because it was taking a long time, there was plenty more room. That just means I can go back and go higher if I do it again! - I picked 2222 because it was a cool number to stop at and just fun to say! - We know it was 2222 because each box has 1000, we used two boxes, then counted out 222 from the 3rd box. Thanks for watching!

Stan Munro's Toothpick City II at the MOST

This video features Stan Munro, of North Syracuse, who is building Toothpick City II, a collection of religious buildings and towers from across the world. The exhibit, built using toothpicks and Elmer's Glue, is on display at the Milton J. Rubenstein Museum of Science and Technology until December. Munro has been working on Toothpick City II for about 4 years and still has 20 more buildings to build before the project is complete. When it's finished, Munro estimates he would have used about 4 million toothpicks and 45 gallons of glue.

Fallout 3 All Unique Weapons - Butch's Toothpick

Unique Switchblade. If you let Butch live when escaping Vault 101, it can be obtained when you return later during the" Trouble on the Homefront" quest. It is roughly twice as powerful as an ordinary Switchblade (before Strength modifiers), though this is not saying much considering how weak it is in the first place. It can be repaired with a regular Switchblade. In some versions of the game Butch can actually be seen picking his teeth with it at the Muddy Rudder bar in Rivet City. - The weapon cannot be acquired if you kill him on your escape from Vault 101. It shows up on his corpse as a regular Switchblade. - One method for getting the switchblade is to wait until Butch shows up at the Muddy Rudder in Rivet City. Start a fight with him and then shoot the knife from his hands. Grab the knife, leave Rivet City and wait 72 hours. After three days, all hostility from Butch should be gone. - Another is to target the holstered blade, one shot should break it, at which point it will be forced into Butch's inventory (where you can pickpocket it). Not having injured Butch will allow you to holster your weapon, ending the fight peacefully. - Also, if Butch is acquired as a follower, his toothpick can usually be taken by swapping items.
