We did a stripped down live session for Danish national Radio in a trailer at Northside Festival, and recorded two songs. The first a new slow version of our own "Track of the week" from 2007 Into You, and the second a cover of Robyn and Kleerups wonderful heart breaker also from 2007, which we had chosen as our favourite "Track of the Week" among 1000 tracks from the past 20 years.

On April 25 we invited a handful of fans into our studio to help us record a live music video for our new single 'On My Side'. The live performance was simoultaneusly broadcast live to the internet, where people could watch it on www.turboweekend.com as it went down (it was so fun to receive immidiate feedback from as different places as Aarhus, Warsaw and London right after the show!!). The peformance also included projections of dance videos that our wonderful fans had sent in beforehand. So the final video will in many ways be another FAN MADE video. Turboweekend is a three piece band out of Copenhagen, Denmark, consisting of Silas Bjerregaard (Vocals), Martin Øhlers Petersen (Drums), and Morten Køie (Bass). Their second album Ghost Of A Chance from 2009 lifted them from underground prospects to major venue headliners in their native Denmark. The song "Almost there" is from this album. Turboweekend er et dansk synthesizer rockband, dannet i 2006 af de tre barndomsvenner Martin Øhlers Petersen, Silas Bjerregaard og Morten Køie. 2006-2008 "Into You" bandets første P3-hit, blev indspillet i begyndelsen af 2006, og Turboweekend spillede debut-koncert i april måned på Vesterbro-spillestedet "Basement". I løbet af 2006 blev bandet booket flere gange til hippe undergrundsfester i det københavnske natteliv og populariteten afstedkom at bandet blev booket til Roskilde Festival 2007. Debutalbummet Night Shift udkom den 1. oktober 2007 på Copenhagen Records. Radiosingler var P3-storhittet "Into You" og senere fulgte "Wash Out" og "Glowing Vision". I 2008 spillede bandet til P3 Guld og var endvidere nomineret til Årets Nye Navn ved både P3 Guld og Zulu Awards. I midten af 2008 begyndte bandet at arbejde på deres andet album. 2009-2010 Turboweekends andet album Ghost Of A Chance udkom 23. marts 2009 på Mermaid Records. Forinden udkom førstesinglen "After Hours" i november 2008. I april 2009 udkom andensinglen "Something Or Nothing" og i september "Holiday". Ghost Of A Chance blev bandets gennembrud, og nominerede dem blandt andet til P3 Prisen ved P3 Guld 2010. Den 16. oktober 2009 udkom Ghost Of A Chance i Tyskland og Schweiz og i 2010 i Polen på Sony BMG. Førstesingle "Trouble Is" gik nummer ét på de tyske universitetsradioers playliste. This is my personal interpretation of "Something or Nothing" from the danish group Turboweekend. Compared to the original I have tried a different aestethic approach with acoustic piano, bass and guitars. Furthermore I have used the vocal mastertracks and manipulated them with plugins, natural reverb and more in order to make Silas' voice sound organic together with the instruments I've recorded. I know the production and mix could be better, but hopefully you will get the idea..
On friday the 14th of may, 2010, the danish electrorock band Turboweekend played their second dobble-concert with When Saints Go Mashine in a sold out and electric Store VEGA. We cought the band backstage before the concert for a chat and a nice unplugged version of "Trouble Is".
