Today, Nick Garner of SportsTalk4Kids (www.sportstalk4kids.com), attended a UCLA mens basketball game vs. the University of Colorado. Sophomore guard Tyler Lamb helped the Bruins upset the Buffaloes, who were tied for first place in the Pac 12 Conference. Lamb was a top basketball recruit coming out of Mater Dei High School, and he has become one of the team's leaders, starting all 20 games this season and averaging over nine points per game. Nick spoke with Lamb after the game, and the UCLA basketball player spoke about how he has improved as a player, how he plans to take the UCLA Bruins basketball team back to national prominence, and how he and the team continue to be influenced by UCLA coaching legend John Wooden. Lamb also spoke about how his coaches at Mater Dei prepared him to be a successful college basketball player, as well as what other high school student-athletes can do to get ready for college life. UCLA head coach Ben Howland praised Lamb for his excellent play in the game against Colorado, especially his defense against the Buffaloes' best player, Carlon Brown. Nick also interviewed other Bruins, Lazeric Jones, Jerime Anderson, David Wear, and Joshua Smith, and his interviews with all the Bruins can be seen on www.sportstalk4kids.com.
