La Traviata Prelude - Giuseppe Verdi (1813 - 1901)
La traviata is an opera in three acts by Giuseppe Verdi set to an Italian libretto by Francesco Maria Piave. It takes as its basis the novel La dame aux Camélias by Alexandre Dumas, fils, published in 1848. This piece of music, the prelude of La traviata, is my favorite. I made this clip with the works I so love by a British artist Mr. Mackenzie Thorpe mackenziethorpe.net .

Ave Maria - Anna Netrebko as Desdemona in Verdi's Otello
Anna Netrebko's fabulous and unique rendition of Verdi's "Ave Maria" from Otello ( CD: Sempre libera 2004, Deutsche Grammophon ) Claudio Abbado and the Mahler Chamber Orchestra are excellent, too. Anna has the voice of an angel and is capable of expressing her deep and true emotions through her phenomenal voice. She exactly knows the anguish of mind having lost a beloved member of her family recently ( 2 years prior to the recordings ) Anna's pure, crystalline and colourful bel canto singing leaves me stunned every time I listen to it and the whole world should be deeply grateful to "have" her.

Simone Verdi Compilation
Simone Verdi, born in 1992, second striker or fantasista, is a booming and very promising youngster currently playing in Milan Primavera squad. He seems to be a rather balanced attacker with a full pack of speed, skill, flexibility and assisting ability. Notably he was called up recently by coach Leonardo for the away Champions League match against Real Madrid this Wednesday. This is a compilation of his highlight moments up to 2009-10 Campionato Primavera quarta giornata, in the hope of wishing him all the best in his future undertaking. FYI: He is the one with No.7 jersey in the video.
