UK Economy- Reasons Why Welfare Benefits Are Potential Danger to The Economy By Sevi Fattahpour

unlimitedeconomicszone.over-blog.org twitter.com (Please note that this is 100% theoretical and is for informative purposes only) In this video, i have explained the reasons why government expenditure on welfare benefits to unemployed/job seekers is a potential threat to UK economy. Due to the fact that Income benefits are very low, the economy cannot be stimulated and all it does, it creates a dependency culture. In fact, I call paying benefits a "NO RETURN POLICY". It also creates a bigger budget deficit for Great Britain which ultimately makes Britain a second "Greece". Solutions to this issue has been given in this video.

Threats to welfare benefits if you refuse a job offer

FIGHT THE CUTS FORUM - scot.tk For Freedom Forums - scot.tk Peter Dow's website - scot.tk Threats to welfare benefits - http Welfare benefits in Scotland are still administered by the United Kingdom central government through its Jobcentre agents, although the devolved Scottish government plays a central role in maintaining the authority of the UK government in Scotland to grant and to deny benefits. For example, if the Jobcentre denies you benefits as an unemployed person - - and consequently you have angry words with Jobcentre staff about that - if you try to protest or to fight back against the injustice of being left with nothing - then it is the police and the courts under the devolved Scottish Parliament and Scottish Executive government which would be used to arrest you, ban you from Jobcentre premises and generally uphold the authority of Jobcentre staff to treat you as badly and with as much contempt as they like - and/or you might get relief from an initial Jobcentre decision against you with the help of your doctor (the NHS again under the Scottish Executive) who might give you a sick note for "stress" which restarts your benefits, as happened to me - see Scottish Republican News. scot.cyberhost.me The point is - although in both cases, the Queen as head of state is ultimately responsible - the Scottish Executive ministers, as well as the UK government ministers, are also responsible for what happens. In other words, if your benefit is stopped under UK rules ...

DISABLED PEOPLE RALLY & MARCH AGAINST WELFARE BENEFIT REFORMS (LONDON) 11/5/2011

An estimated 5000 Disabled People and supporters protested outside Parliament and marched to Millbank (Tory Party HQ), against the coalition governments planned cuts - in the guise of welfare reform to disability and long term sickness benefits. This includes scrapping IB (Incapacity Benefit) and DLA (Disability Living Allowance). The protest highlighted other service cuts for Disabled People, which attacked Independent living and education, to name just a few. It is felt by many that the government are manufacturing and using negative coverage of welfare benefit claimants in the media, in order to target vulnerable individuals and groups within the community. Those who are effectively silenced by non-existent positive or supportive press coverage, as was in fact the case with this peaceful protest, gaining virtually no coverage by the mainstream media/press.

How Government Assistance and Welfare create an endless cycle of poverty and teen pregnancy!

Hi. I'd just like to discuss the welfare system and how it poses a threat to the people it's supposed to be helping. The welfare system is supposed to help those, who need to "get on their feet", but does it? Or does it keep people trapped in a cycle of low income housing, EBT Cards, and the expectation for a monthly government check you recieve all for just filling out an application stating that it's an absolute neccesity. This system makes people complacent and dependent, discouraging famililies to attain actual employment for fear of decreasen benefits. Developing and investing into your self worth could also be an option for acquiring an even grander lifestyle! But rather than making their children there motivation for a better lifestyle , they make there kids their main excuse for why they no longer have that opportunity anymore! Many woman are even beginning to use pregnancy as a way to get housing! Especially since the Government has it pretty much set up a system for woman who have kids and no money to get housing, so long as they stay in a shelter for a short period of time. There are young woman and older woman who have a place of residency(especially at parents house[Statisically subsidized- Hense, the cycle] but choose to "sacrifice" living in a shelter to get an apartment they don't have to actually be productive for! It sucks for those who have to work and pay taxes, but probably don't get to live in our own place without roommates, who are trying to do ...

Does Welfare 'Ruin' Ambition? - James Bartholomew

Complete video at: fora.tv Author James Bartholomew argues that welfare benefits actually increase government handouts by 'ruining' ambition. He compares welfare to a humane mousetrap. ----- In the controversial book The Welfare State We're In, James Bartholomew argues that the welfare state in Britain has resulted in a generation of badly educated and dependent citizens, leading to lives of deprivation for thousands and undermining the original intent behind its creation in the 1940s. Has the welfare state really led to more harm than good? What does this imply for the ever-expanding welfare state in the United States? - Cato Institute James Bartholomew trained as a banker in the City of London before moving into journalism with the Financial Times and the Far Eastern Economic Review, for whom he worked in Hong Kong and Tokyo. Returning to England on the Trans-Siberian Railway through communist China and the Soviet Union an experience which influenced his political outlook he subsequently became a leader writer on The Daily Telegraph and the Daily Mail.

MICHIGAN VOTES TO CUT OFF WELFARE AFTER 4 YEARS

A four-year limit for families receiving welfare benefits was passed Wednesday by the Michigan Senate. About 12600 families would be removed from welfare rolls by Oct. 1, saving the state more than $77 million. The legislation reflects welfare limits approved earlier this year as part of the state budget plan. The current law is due to expire in late September.

UK workforce participation, welfare reform & social inclusion policies: Dan Finn

Professor Dan Finn addresses the topic of welfare to work in tough economic times, drawing on wider developments from OECD countries and key UK developments in radical reform of disability benefits, the introduction of a single 'Universal Credit' working age benefit, and the commissioning of large scale 'prime contractors' to deliver employment assistance -- a different approach to outsourcing compared with that used in Australia. Dan Finn is Professor of Social Inclusion at the University of Portsmouth and was previously co-Director of the independent Unemployment Unit. His research interests include the reform and outsourcing of public employment services, benefit activation policies and the implementation of welfare to work policies. He has been a special adviser and consultant for the UK House of Commons Work and Pensions Select Committee, UK Commission on Employment and Skills, the World Bank, European Commission, OECD, and other bodies and has undertaken many commissioned research projects. Professor Finn is also an Associate Director at the Centre for Economic and Social Inclusion, an independent, not-for-profit organisation (see www.cesi.org.uk). This centre plays a significant role in the UK in undertaking applied research, disseminating best practice, providing policy advice to government and NGOs, and in working with peer European and international networks.

Is the UK Welfare System in danger of disintegrating?-A Simple Question-04-02-2012

The UK welfare system has been an indispensable feature of British life. Offering, among other provisions, national healthcare, unemployment and child support - the British Welfare system has been held as a model for other countries. Recently, however, there has been a public outcry against the culture of dependency that the system has come to be known for; it appears that Britain maybe on the brink of a welfare revolution. The total number of unemployed who claim state benefits has reached five million, while a staggering 1.4million of that figure have been receiving welfare for the last ten years. Britain also has the highest rate of single parents at 600000, who are unemployed and seeking benefits. Such dependency on state welfare has become an intolerable burden and the taxpayers are increasingly reluctant to continue paying for the system. With so many out of work, it has become extremely difficult to distinguish between the idle and genuinely poor. The welfare system is breaking down at a time when recession makes it more important than ever. India Issues Biometric ID for 1.2 Billion Residents!

India has launched a nationwide program involving the allocation of a Unique Identification Number (UID) to every single one of its 1.2 billion residents. Each of the numbers will be tied to the biometric data of the recipient using three different forms of information -- fingerprints, iris scans, and pictures of the face. All ten digits of the hand will be recorded, and both eyes will be scanned. The project will be directed by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) under the premise of preventing identity theft and social welfare fraud. India has rather extensive social welfare and safety net programs, ranging from medical support and heating assistance to others aimed at helping the poor. Fraud is a rampant problem in India, especially in relation to these programs due to a preponderance of corrupt politicians and bureaucrats who often stuff welfare rolls with fake names and take the money for themselves. Yet, although the justification for the billion person database is the increased ability to accurately disperse social welfare benefits, it will not be just the Indian government's social welfare programs that have access to and utilize the UIDAI. Indeed, even before the program has been completed, major banks, state/local governments, and other institutions are planning to use the UIDAI for identification verification purposes and, of course, payment and accessibility. by Brandon Turbeville (READ MORE AT THIS LINK) www.infowars.com ...

Disabled Targeted in Welfare Reform Crackdown

So there Welfare Reform Bill has been given Approval and now will be law. What is in the bill will be bad news for anyone who is Disabled and on Benefits. ESA Claiments will get a phone call from the DWP to say that they will lose ESA Contribution Rate after a year and advise them to apply for Income Based which is means tested. Severe Disablement Allowance is to be abolished. Reforms to Housing Benefit Rules (See This Video) Reforms to DLA (See Video) Welfare to Work ideas see this Video There is really not much chance of the bill being overturned. Virtually all the sections of the bill have been passed. The only one being that if people on JSA refuse to go on schemes that they get benefits cut. That has been removed due to Human Rights. In this video I discuss with Annette the basic building blocks of this new bill how it will affect not only disabled but also people on JSA and people in Work. If you are concerned about what is going to happen and want it to be put to you in plain English then this video is a must to listen to and watch.

Ian Duncan Smith on welfare reforms and jobs (14Nov10)

Conservative Ian Duncan Smith talks about reforming the benefits system, and jobs. He did not say at any time though that the coalition would kick out the 4 million immigrants that Labour let into the UK under their deliberate 13 year "Open Borders" policy, which the coalition is NOT stopping. Kick these people out, and less need to build new housing, and shock horror - British people will be able to have jobs inste4ad of sitting on unemployment benefits. The creation of the unemployment scandal was deliberate by New Labour, and the coalition have NO intention of correcting the situation. Recorded from BBC's Andrew Marr Show, 14 November 2010.

George Galloway interviews Gavin Poole on welfare reform

The government is promising to "make work pay" as it sets out plans to ensure people in work are better off than the unemployed. A "universal credit", sanctions for those turning down jobs and a cap on benefits paid to a single family are among the changes outlined. Planned housing benefit curbs for the jobless have been dropped but tenants 'under-occupying' homes face cuts. Labour backs some changes but says help for people to find work is inadequate. Central to the plan is the creation of a universal credit, a process which will begin in 2013 and continue into the next parliament. The government says, with five million people of working age on out-of-work benefits and 1.4 million of those for nearly a decade, that unemployment has become entrenched in many communities. Prime Minister David Cameron said the bill would "bring about the most fundamental and radical changes to the welfare system since it began". He added: "Never again will work be the wrong financial choice... We are finally going to make work pay for some of the poorest people in our society." George Galloway interviews Gavin Poole of the Centre for Social Justice think-tank who defends these proposals. Originally broadcasted on 18th February 2011.
