02.22.10 - Car Fire; Whitehall, PA
At 0010 hours Whitehall Engines 1, 2, 12, 11 and Chief 35 (Benner) respond to 10th and Livingston Streets for a car fire. On arrival, Chief 35 has a well-involved BMW 3 -series on the street. Fullerton engine 1 arrives and within 2 minutes has the fire darkened down. Crews remained on the scene for about 45 minutes. Police called for towing. The car was not stolen.

Woodcraft Folk (I am a member) are following young people protesting around the country: www.woodcraft.org.uk I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone that's helped to spread this around. I wasn't planning on uploading this, I assumed the BBC would mention it along with their coverage of all the other protests, they didn't. These protesters are not those who were kettled outside the treasury building, we weren't allowed in for that, after some kids had started fires and thrown some sticks n junk at the police lines separating us from the main protest they began to move forward. This happened about an hour and a half after police started pushing us back, they had already deployed the cavalry 3 times, although those instances were less aggressive than this one. I have decided to follow the anticuts campaign and make a documentary out of all the footage I gather, so this will eventually be in there.

02.22.12 - 3RD ALARM FATAL; South Whitehall, PA
The box was transmitted at 02:53 hours for a house fire next to Charlie Browns Restaurant, 1920 Walbert Avenue. Companies 32, 11 and 3 were sent. Police arrive and confirm a working fire with people trapped on the second floor. Engine 32 arrives shortly after the police and have fire showing on the first-floor of a two-story single family dwelling. 32 command transmits the second alarm (remainder of the companies and Whitehall Rescue 8 as the FAST company). Police kick the door in and the living room flashes. Engine 32 members stretch a line in and darken down the fire. Conducting the primary search, members find two adults on the second-floor. Ladder 3 goes to the second-floor with their bucket and bring the first victim down to EMS then return to the same window to bring down the second victim. They return a third time to bring a dog down. 3 hand lines are stretched with 2 operating. 32 command request the 3rd alarm to be transmitted. All victims are removed within 30 minutes. The fire was placed under control at 04:57. Both victims and the dog died in the fire.

The Changing of the Guard at Horseguards Parade Whitehall London at 4pm 09 10 10 Horse Guards is normally guarded by troopers of the Household Cavalry 2 mounted cavalry troopers are posted outside daily from 10 am to 4 pm, and are relieved every hour. Also two Troopers are posted from 10 am till 8 pm and are relieved every 2 hours. There is the changing of the guard at 11am everyday but on Sundays is brought forward to 10am. Also there is the inspection of the guard that takes place at 4pm everyday which dates back to when Queen Victoria came through the entrance but didn't find anybody there due to the fact that they were drunk on ale. As a result she ordered the Household Cavalry to parade at 4 pm every day for a 100 years just to make sure it didn't happen again. Lehigh County Fire Dispatch transmitted the box at 02:16 for an unknown type of fire to the rear of Woodlawn station 32, sending one engine to investigate. Engine 32 responds and goes on location reporting a working house fire at 2135 Belmont Street. Lehigh County fills the box for companies 11 and 3. Chief 32 (Held) arrives and has heavy fire on the top floor of the 2-story S/F/D and fire through the roof. At 02:22 he transmits the second alarm filling out the rest of stations 32, 11, 3 and bringing in 26 and Whitehall's Rescue 8 for the FAST company. Engine 32 positioned on the B side of the dwelling, stretches in two hand lines through the front door. Engine 11-11 hits the hydrant in front of the fire building and feeds water to Engine 32. Tower Ladder 3 positions in front of Engine 32 and goes to work on the B side of the building. Interior crews aggressively darken down the fire within 20 minutes with their two hand lines. Chief 32 special-calls Allentown's Engine 10, Whitehall's Engine 2 and Han-Le-Co's Engine 33 for manpower. This is the fourth fire at this address that firefighters have battled here. The Fire Marshall's office is investigating.

10.09.11 - 4th Alarm FATAL Fire; Whitehall, PA
07:34 hrs - Lehigh County Fire Radio dispatched Engines 5, 4, 14, Ladder 6 and Truck 8 to 5834 Coplay Road (The Blue Fox Hotel and Bar) for a structural fire with people trapped. Assistant Chief Kunkle (4A) arrives and transmits heavy smoke showing from a 3-story mixed use (Bar 1st fl / rooms on the top floors). Police were already on the scene assisting in the rescues. People were trapped and jumping onto roofs to escape the smoke. Rescue Engine 5 (4041) arrives first and stretches to the second floor to conduct a search. The searches come up negative and the crew doesn't find the fire. A second crews searches the first floor to find a fire in the kitchen of the bar that occupies the first floor. Two hand lines are stretched to the 3rd floor via the stairs. Truck 6 went to the roof on side 3 to assist in getting a victim down off the roof who appeared to be injured from a fall. The fire burned out of control for over 4 hours. 6 residents and 2 firefighters were transported to area hospitals. One resident was dead on arrival.

At 1300 hrs on 9/11/11 Station 36 participated in a Nation Wide Event to honor the fallen of 9/11/01. With trucks pulled out and lights on Station 36 hit the sirens on the apparatus for 1 minute in a show of support and respect for the Fallen, We remember the 343 Fallen FDNY Members along with everyone else that lose their lives that day. We would also like to thank the members of the Community who came out to remember with us.
