Mike Wilson 99 Foot Rope Swing Quadruple Backflips

www.facebook.com www.shreddytimes.com http www.hulanetworks.com You think you're cooler than me? Well you probably are...but you're definitely not cooler than Mike Wilson. He raised the bar with his unprecedented ropeswing triple backflip into the Truckee River. In case you missed it, the release point on this particular rope swing was 60 feet high, and Mike was over land for a majority of the jump...until he somehow torpedoed into the narrow "window of opportunity" section of the river. Wilson stomped, stomped, and stomped some more...to which you would think he would go home and rest. Not the case. Wilson's a Beast! Instead of patting himself on the back while claiming illest rope swing/extremist in the western hemisphere, Mike Wilson lost sleep, weight and sanity thinking about how he was going to one-up himself. The creative wheels started turning and the hit was on...Wilson concocted a quadruple back flip off a 99 foot rope swing into the royal blue depths of Lake Tahoe. With the unique combination of childlike eagerness and calculated focus, Mike crafted a pulley system conducive to rocking a quadruple back flip. A four-day shoot session started with a California sunrise and Subway sandwiches...hand-delivered by Wilson's Mom! The events that took place between Sunrise, Day 1 and Sunset, Day 4 were out of control. The Shreddy Times Crew scoured the lake/cliffs to get, the, shots. Large crowds gathered on the cliffs, boats and waterbound onlookers pulled up to enjoy ...

The Soul of Ben Webster - His Emotional Tenor Saxophone

Teddy Wilson, piano; Ben Webster, tenor saxophone. Look carefully after Teddy Wilson's solo and you'll see tears streaming down Ben's cheek. Benjamin Francis Webster, 27 March 1909, Kansas City, Missouri, USA, d. 20 September 1973, Amsterdam, Netherlands. After studying violin and piano, and beginning his professional career on the latter instrument, Webster took up the tenor saxophone around 1930. He quickly became adept on this instrument; within a year he was playing with Bennie Moten and later worked with Andy Kirk and Fletcher Henderson. In the mid-30s he also played briefly with numerous bands mostly in and around New York, including spells with Duke Ellington. In 1940 he became a permanent member of the Ellington band, where he soon became one of its most popular and imitated soloists. Although he was with the band for only three years, he had enormous influence upon it, both through his presence, which galvanized his section-mates, and by his legacy. Thereafter, any new tenor saxophonist felt obliged to play like Webster until they were established enough to exert their own personalities. After leaving Ellington, he led a small group for club and record sessions and also played with several small groups led by artists such as Stuff Smith and Henry 'Red' Allen. In the late 40s he rejoined Ellington for a short stay, then played with Jazz At The Philharmonic. From the 50s and on throughout the rest of his life, he worked mostly as a single, touring extensively ...

Robert Anton Wilson explains Quantum Physics

www.dedroidify.com http www.dedroidify.com Any model we make does not describe the universe it describes what our brains are capable of saying at this time. All perception is gamble. We believe what we see and then we believe our interpretation of it we dont even know we're making an interpretation most of the time. Translator: "She wants to know what Quantum Physics is..." *takes sip* RAW: "WHAT?" Translator: "Quantum Phsyics, explain it simply she asks" RAW: "Explain Quantum Physics simply..." Translater braces herself LOL but she has nothing to worry about because RAW explains it wonderfully thanks to picturethefastlight www.youtube.com www.dedroidify.com http www.dedroidify.com

The Beach Boys - God Only Knows (Brian sings lead)

Brian Wilson originally intended to sing lead vocal on 'God Only Knows' but in the end he sacrificed the lead vocal to his brother Carl: "Well, I thought I was gonna do it. As the song progressed, I said, 'Hey, I feel kind of natural doing this.' But when we completed creating the song, I said my brother Carl will probably be able to impart the message better than I could, so I sacrificed that one. But he had a good time singing it."

Robert Anton Wilson On The Acceleration To 2012

i have called this video 'Robert Anton Wilson On The Acceleration To 2012' because his Jumping Jesus Phenomenon was about an acceleration in knowledge that seems to be heading towards a critical point then, and RAW himself said in an interview: "I get about as far as 2012 in my future projections, then I can't imagine beyond that. So much is going to change by then." Asked 'What do you see coming along up to 2012', he answered: "In Leary's terms, I think about one-third of the West now understands the neuro-somatic circuit, and some techniques for activating it. I think that's going to reach fifty to fifty-one percent pretty soon - and that will be a major cultural change. I think more and more understanding of the neuro-genetic and meta-programming circuits are coming along. It's very obvious that quantum physics, parapsychology and all the work they're doing attaching brain scanners to Yogis and Zen masters means we're going to learn a great deal about the non-local quantum circuit. I think the history of mysticism has been sort of like a bunch of firecrackers with two or three going off every century. With the LSD revolution it became two or three every month and now it's moving up to two or three every week. I see a real acceleration in consciousness, just like in technology. "

Without You by Charlie Wilson

One of my favorite song... Comments please.. :) -I would like to thank everyone for their comments and ratings about my video. I really appreciate it. Also, I thank everyone for sharing their stories. All I can say is, there will always be that one person whom God provided for us. It is okay for us to be sad at times, but nevertheless, we should be happy because somehow those people teach us something and because they came and touched our lives. :)

Heart - Crazy On You - Ann & Nancy Wilson Live 1978

Awesome live performance I'm guessing from 1978, but not for sure. Ann and Nancy Wilson wrote this about Mike Fisher, who was Heart's original guitarist (he eventually stopped performing and became their sound man). He and Ann were dating.

Steven Wilson - Index (from Grace for Drowning)

Lasse Hoile's new video for Index, taken from Steven Wilson's second solo album Grace for Drowning. Grace For Drowning' is the second album released under Wilson's own name, and builds on the artistic inroads he forged with 2009's exceptionally well-received 'Insurgentes.' A double album ('two 40-45 minute albums in the same package') Wilson has described it as "my biggest project to date". He continues, "'Insurgentes' was an important step for me into something new. This record takes that as a starting point, but it's more experimental and more eclectic. For me the golden period for music was the late sixties and early seventies, when the album became the primary means of artistic expression, when musicians liberated themselves from the 3 minute pop song format, and started to draw on jazz and classical music especially, combining it with the spirit of psychedelia to create "journeys in sound" I guess you could call them. So without being retro, my album is a kind of homage to that spirit. There's everything from [Ennio] Morricone-esque film themes to choral music to piano ballads to a 23 minute progressive jazz--inspired piece. I've actually used a few jazz musicians this time, which is something I picked up from my work remixing the King Crimson records." The full tracklist is as follows; CD1: 1. Grace For Drowning (2.00) 2. Sectarian (8.00) 3. Deform to Form a Star (8.00) 4. No Part of Me (5.45) 5. Postcard (4.30) 6. Raider Prelude (2.30) 7. Remainder the Black Dog ...
