You may remember seeing Joe Levi's video about using Bluestacks software to run Android apps on a normal Windows 7 PCs and that was very cool, but I thought it would be fun to see how the same software works on a Windows 8 tablet... especially since we can expect a number of new Windows 8 tablets to be released later this year. Take a look at the video below to see how it works. Now remember that this is an unfinished beta software program running on an unfinished beta Windows 8 operating system running on an old HP Touchsmart TM2 tablet from before the original iPad was released. The Bluestacks software has some GPU acceleration driver problems on this tablet and operating system so the display is a bit slower than it normally would be, however Android apps do still run alright. Sometimes it freezes up and you have to reboot the Bluestacks software, but that is to be expected for a beta program.

WIndows 8 on my Jumper JK01-TT. It is full function, and off the bat when installed it worked great. Only one driver need to install was the realtech HD drivers. Nothing else install was needed. Windows 8 over windows 7 is the video and the flash function. In windows 7 the video was laggy and flash play would not load 75% of the time. Under windows 8 the flash player loads great and even powerful enough to use in facebook apps like citi ville. The JK01-TT specs are 1024x600 multi touch screen with the NM10 intel chip set. Has the N455 atom, 2 gb of ddr3, 1 16gb mini pci-e sata drive, 1 32GB tf card, bluetooth, wifi, and connector for HDMI, VGA and network.

The 32 minute video was shot at the Computex 2011 in Taiwan. The presenter is Mike Angiulo, Microsoft corporate vice president. The first Windows 8 video, that Microsoft posted on June 2 on YouTube, offered a sneak peek of the touch interface of the upcoming Microsoft operating system. It caused quite the confusion, as many viewers assumed that the operating system would look like that on their desktop PC as well. From what we could gather, there will be a standard desktop interface available as well, with possibilities to switch between the interfaces. We will know more about this when the public Windows 8 beta is released by Microsoft. The four minute video was welcome, considering that it offered the first live footage of the upcoming Windows 8 operating system. Later that day, a demonstration was held at the Computex 2011 in Taiwan by Mike Angiulo, Microsoft corporate vice president which showcased the new operating system for more than 30 minutes. While you see more footage of Mike talking on stage, you will see live footage of the operating system as well. Probably more interesting than that are <b>...</b>
