350.org inspires Wingra School

On 10/10/10, 350.org celebrates climate solutions worldwide. On Friday (Oct 8) Learning Partners from our entire school worked together to create this video. Families from Wingra School are invited to participate in a Parade for the Planet which begins at 1:00 at the Lisa Link Peace Park on State Street. The parade will include delegations of elementary, middle, high school, and university students, neighborhood groups, congregations, environmental groups, businesses, jugglers, and a puppet theater. It is part of a global event organized by 350.org. Why 350? Scientists tell us that 350 parts per million is the safe upper limit of carbon dioxide in our atmosphere. Right now, we're at 390 and already feeling the impacts of climate change. Images for stop-motion shot from the ROOFTOP!!! of Wingra School "I Hope" by The Dixie Chicks
