Snake Bytes TV - "Snake Defense"

While snakes are hibernating they aren't totally asleep, so they still have to defend themselves. Each type of snake is different, some will hide and others will get agressive and try to bite as you'll see me get tagged by a big ratsnake. www.twitter.com www.snakebytestv.ning.com

California in Cold Blood - Gopher Snake

I came across this rather agressive gopher or 'bull' snake whilst searching for rattlers in the hills of contra costa county, California. Certainly the most agressive snake I've had on film so far, he was blowing a gale!

Jeeper's Trip to Snake Road-With Ukulele cover

the song is Copperhead Road by Steve Earl So...where to begin.... Here in southern illinois there is an amazing place called Larue- Pine Hills...each year in the spring, starting around march 20 or so and until about may 1 or so...there is a migration of snakes. When walking the road there is a large bluff line (cliff) where they hibernate during the winter, and across a small gravel road, a swamp and adjacent forest where they spend the warm months. (the process repeats in reverse in the autumn) All sorts of snakes make the crossing, but a large majority are the venomous and needlessly feared water moccasin (cotton mouth...same thing...named for its white mouth which it shows when ticked off) Now, i don't condone everyone going out and getting so close to venomous snakes (or any snakes you can't ID) but i can tell you we were within inches of some of these venomous and so called agressive snakes, without anything but a few threat displays...certainly not the snake with with intentionally jumping into your boat to attack you or chase you up a tree we are used to hearing about. I got so close to point out how strikingly beautiful these snakes are, all of them in the video...venomous or not.... Sadly we didn't see any of my favorite vipers ((all venomous snakes in Illinois and all but one (the coral snake) in the US are vipers of some sort,)) the copperhead...the name snake..erm...name sake of the song... It should go without saying, no snakes were harmed in this video <b>...</b>

Snakes can still attack even without bodies. Chop the head off and run! Have to see it to believe it. PLEASE NOTE: Since posting this video we've received, removed and blocked dozens of vulgar comments directed toward us about this video. This video was not made by the poster. It was acquired from a group of students who had to take matters into their own hands as this snake lost its fear of people and was endangering children over a course of a few weeks. We welcome and respect all comments, but PETA fans and those who feel they must post vulgar language, please keep your comments clean or to yourself. Thank you!

Are Big Boa Constrictors Really So Aggressive?

I'm Dedicating This Video To A Dear Friend Of The YouTube Reptile Community, And A Great Friend Of All, Cutegayjason. In A Live Chat We Watched His Baby Green Tree Pythons Hatching Out And The Topic Of "Taming" Snakes Came Up Several Times And Questions About Getting Bit In Relation To Him Handling His Big Burmese Pythons On Camera Big Congratulations Jason!!!! I'm 5 foot 9 and weigh 130 pounds and I've been bit by my big Boa Constrictors, but NEVER did they make any effort to kill me. I'm making this video to show people that with patience, work and determination with handling we can establish a trust bond with our snakes regardless of their size. However, they are still snakes and will always have a fierce feeding aggression. Working with your snakes on a regular basis is very important to maintain that bond and they should never have to go for long periods without feeding or without human contact if you expect them to be manageable to any degree. When handling big snakes they require your FULL attention at ALL times and NEVER assume you won't get a bite if you are negligent or complacent. Worlds Largest Snakes Cobra Rattlesnake Python Boa Dangerous Longest Strongest Most Poisonous

Video shows the dangerous activity of handling some of the world's largest, most hazardous, and venomous snakes. It compares and contrasts these snakes. Both reaching for, handling, and letting loose these serpents could be life-threatening. They are strong and powerful with instant reflexes. The can strike and constrict with lightening speed. Their poison bite can be deadly. (Many snakes are beneficial.) (No animals were harmed in the making of this video. Fluffy is hand reared, tame, and in a top zoo.) Shown first, is Fluffy a reticulated python, Python reticulatus, considered the world's largest exhibited snake. She is over 24 feet long, 300 pounds, and 15 years old. She is shown during an enrichment session, where she was moved to a much larger enclosure (the world's largest indoor pachyderm exhibit - a secure location) and turned loose. These sessions allow Fluffy to exercise and explore. (The elephants and rhinos were kept out during her session.) The 2011 Guinness World Records book shows Fluffy the reticulated python from Columbus Zoo, Ohio, as the longest snake in custody, at 24ft (7.3m). These unusual videos show an active snakes exhibiting a full range of behavior - swimming, walking, and climbing, instantly striking, coiling, attacking, and engulfing prey. These videos show exactly how dangerous snakes can be. Although some snakes may appear lethargic, they can be strong and fast. HUGE Python! Caught by 10 yr old boy!

UPDATE March 2012: Some folks think this isn't real, that we staged our pet python. We don't live in FL, we don't have a pet python, we don't know anyone with a pet python, and we wouldn't do that anyway. It was laying across the road, I stopped the car, the snake started to head off the road, Nicholas grabbed its tail, I got back in the vehicle, turned on the vid camera, backed up and parked. I'm not sure why folks think the snake would be attacking us. I've dealt with thousands of wild snakes at this point, some get agressive, some don't. This could've been a pet someone released, I have no clue. We don't own pet snakes and we don't stage pets in our videos. I don't get paid for this video. I guess you'd have to watch more vids from www.youtube.com and www.youtube.com to be convinced or hang out with us sometime for a five day, non-stop, no sleep, typical herp trip.

Assist Tube Feeding - Neonate Copperheads

As requested by a friend of mine, here is a video showing how I assist feed my neonate copperheads whom ocassionaly require a helping hand to eat. If you are not familar with Tubing a snake PLEASE practice tubing on a agressive non venomous snake before you ever attempt to tube a venomous snake. Always use extreme caution when working with hots, as no mater the size they can still put a hurting on you an perhaps even kill you. Also be firm but gentle while working with the animal. If your not careful you risk rupturing the animals throat or perhaps trying to insert the prey item into the wind pipe. BECAREFUL this can not be stressed enough! In this video I am using peices of Deer meat, Varrious types of meat may be substitued for a pinky or mouse, the most common used is Beef Heart. no mater what you use once again BE CAREFUL!!!! If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

MUGEN: Solid Snake vs. Rapied Ayaka

It's Snake on the moon and... hold the phone, that isn't the Ayaka Kurusugawa I know. This foe known as Rapied Ayaka, who is related to Comode Serika, is a quite cheesy and repetitive agressor with bloated defense (1200 HP and 120 defense? Come on...) who will try to pound on you with a very quick speed (as her name suggests). Fortunenly, her AI has set patterns which can be easily exploited and Snake's no slouch in the defensive department. Stage: War of Agression Music: Boss (Gradius V)

Ferdelance snake video Deadliest snake in the Americas Bothrops atrox

This is my boy Pachi's pit viper. I call the female chompy. These are barba amarillos (yellow beard), scientifically known as the Bothrops Atrox, or Jergona to the natives. They are responsible for the most snake bite deaths in the Americas. They are also known as the most aggressive snakes in the Americas. These things are mean, here they're hissing, and Chompy jumps to attack anyone in her way. We milk these snakes for their venom, little is known about the potency of their venom, one theory to the fact is that there might be several species with different types of venom, all known to have incredibly lethal doses in each bite. benthebutterflyguy.blogspot.com

Ball Python, Moira, & Question for BP Owners

This is just a look at my little girl, Moira. I got her at the same expo where I got Jasper. Also, a question for all you people with Ball Python experience: are BPs agressive eaters? Do yours go nuts when it's time to eat and start striking at everything that moves? Is this a BP thing or does it just depend on the snake? Leave a comment or email me. Thanks! And thanks, as always, for watching! :) ~Becky

my hypo blood red corn snake wheatley he is roughly a year half a year old now prehaps a bit younger since I bought him in the late summer. he is very sweet and funny I have always loved snakes but only through owning one have I realised that all the talk of them only being a predator and thats all there is to them is nonsense. they are very curious animals , love water tp bathe in and can be rather shy nit agressive unless your a mouse of course. wheatley here is fed on pre killed mice as I believe live feeding is cruel and I'd rather not risk him getting bit or catching mites, he still strikes and for his prey though so I dont think he cares.
