This movie shows my BMW M3 before and after I have installed the original CSL Airbox including Alpha-N Software. You can hear the (outside) sound improvement from before and after the conversion. There is also a small performance increase by doing this modifications. It's defently worth all the money, especially the sound is astonishing. A video with inside car sound comparision will follow as well.

Basically achieves the same results of a $150 Comptech air intake for the cost of a $39 K&N filter and about 30 minutes time. In the end the intake setup is identical, as the Comptech intake only includes a different airbox top (that says their name on it), a Comptech filter (K&N is just as good), and a J shaped pipe to replace the stock resonators, which we can fab up from the stock resonators.

I removed the inner airbox and the trim ring on the outer cover and lined the cover interior with neoprene. Theoretically this will improved mid range throttle response. One thing is for sure it's a lot louder.

I know there are a few spelling mistakes in the video but my point isn't about the editing or anything. This video is just for people that own TTR's to show them that they can spend $50 on the bike and get more power out of it than buying a Full Pro-Circut T4 or FMF Power Core System. You could probably do these mods on the KLX125\140 and the DRZ125 because I think they have the same carb and jetting. Im not sure tho so check your service manuel. WARNING: I am 100% Sure that these mods work for 2000-2007 TTR125's but im not sure if it works for the 2008 ones. It probably does tho.

New Joey video after the addition of a carbon fiber airbox. Since the S50B32 install, Joey has been chasing the sound from back when his 1989 M3 was running the S14/CF airbox with Alpha N tuning, and he now has a lot of it back. Sadly I could only do a poor job of capturing the metallic sound added by the airbox, but along with the sound upgrade has come a seriously perceptible increase in throttle response and TQ. Before the new airbox the real power came on at 4500+ RPM but now the car hits hard well below that speed and pulls very hard to redline. My first words after experiencing a 1-2-3 gear run were "now that's more like it!" While the car was very well motivated before, the new low-RPM power tears through the rev range and it will only get faster once tuned. Today we attended S Fest at Coventry Motorcars: www.sfest.com Joey's M3 was a big hit. When we went to leave, a camera was on us and Joey wanted to lay on it a bit for the video. He had forgotten to remove his dyno sheet from the front window, and it blew out of the car. It was too funny because here was poor Joe hamming it up for the camera and all that video will show is him nailing the throttle and having to almost immediately pull over to retrieve the dyno sheet from the middle of the road. Thankfully we are far too shallow to care.

Got my Cobb SF Intake & Cold air box installed this week. Installation was very easy and only took about 45 minutes (with filming) Then flashed the Stage 1 + SF Intake 93 Map with my Accessport. Thanks to Cobb for making a great product. I don't have access to a dyno, but the car definitely feels like it pulls harder up top vs just the regular stage 1 with stock intake. The sound is incredible and I finally feel like my car drives like it should haha. I drove through a pretty heavy rainstorm on the east coast after installation and when I got home I took the cover off the airbox and everything was bone dry, so that is some piece of mind. I would definietely recommend the cold air box they sell, for no other reason then it keeps the MAF sensor and filter under a cover, since normally when I drive in the rain I get some water in the engine bay from the hoodscoop. I guess it's time to start saving up for a downpipe next. Hope you enjoy the video.
