Albatross - studio version
Albatross. (Fleetwood Mac). One of the greatest instrumental tracks of all time. A beautiful, haunting and thought invoking piece of music. I recorded this on December 8th 2004, just two days after my mum passed away. This was her favourite piece of music, and I recall she used to play the 7" single on the record player with the arm up so that it would play over and over. Whatever band I was in I would always make sure we played this whenever my mum came to watch us. This is the exact recording that was played at my mum's funeral service. I deeply regret one thing about this tune - I never managed to record this for my mum (she asked me often) until it was too late. I am posting this today in rememberance of my mum, I miss her dearly. Please take time to do those little things for your loved ones - they are often the things that mean the most to them.

Building Albatros D III
Austrian Koloman Mayrhofer builds Albatros D III OEFFAG series 253. The Albatros D.III was a biplane fighter aircraft used by the Imperial German Army Air Service (Luftstreitkräfte) and the Austro-Hungarian Air Service (Luftfahrtruppen) during the First World War. The D.III was flown by many top German aces, including Manfred von Richthofen, Ernst Udet, Erich Löwenhardt, Kurt Wolff, and Karl Emil Schaeffer. It was the preemininent fighter during the period of German aerial dominance known as "Bloody April" 1917. en.wikipedia.org Here are some additional notes from the builder: ------ i am working on two albatros D III OEFFAG series 253. the second one is in its final assembling state.it is a cooperation with a german enthusiast. austro daimler engines 225 hp for the series 253 albatros are extremly rare. only five examples are known to exist worldwide. engine one is on loan from the town museum in wiener neustadt and is currently installed in the 253.01 . this engine is a zero hour example and complete in every aspect so it is listed as national heritage and therefore is not allowed to be run. the plane is built to airworthy standards so it is a potential flyer.this engine was very valuable during the building and the museum had given it to me for several years so in return the complete aircraft is now on show in the museum. until mid of 2009. engine two is on loan from a private company which is the successor of austro daimler. basicly a zero hour engine built in oktober <b>...</b>

Here are all the rules: • You must moisturize and seal daily, no exceptions • No cutting, trimming, or dusting of the hair. Any scissor plans you have must be executed before the first day of Long Hair Academy or after the semester is over. • Elastic Bands are strictly forbidden. • You must Deep Condition once a week, including after each time you shampoo. • You must drink at least five cups of water a day. No exceptions. This is one of the most important rules! You may get your water in the form of fresh brewed Tea. This does not include iced tea, sweet tea, lemonade, or half and half. Flavored water packets such as Crystal Light, South Beach, Benefiber, and Lipton are acceptable. • You are allowed One Relaxer pass. The Be-42 / A-40 Albatross (designated by NATO as "Mermaid") was a surprise discovery for Western intelligence sources when it was first spotted in 1988. It was, and still continues to be, the largest amphibious aircraft ever designed and has since set a number of performance records in this category since its inception into service in 1990. Though a respected design, the system has not seen expected production orders and is available in only a limited number of aircraft.

Midway. Message from the Gyre
These photographs of albatross chicks were made in September 2009 on Midway Atoll, a tiny stretch of sand and coral near the middle of the North Pacific. The nesting babies are fed bellies-full of plastic by their parents, who soar out over the vast polluted ocean collecting what looks to them like food to bring back to their young. On this diet of human trash, every year tens of thousands of albatross chicks die on Midway from starvation, toxicity, and choking. To document this phenomenon as faithfully as possible, not a single piece of plastic in any of these photographs was moved, placed, manipulated, arranged, or altered in any way. This is the maiden flight video of my scrachbuilt Albatros DV. Power is by an OS 56A 4-stroke. Sorry for the poor video quality (somewhat grainy/glitchy)but its the only cam we have. Enjoy! Was concernd as with any new plane as to its performance on the first flight. This thing leapt into the air and with only a few clicks of trim s already the best flying plane I own.
