Ragas For Ragamuffins--Harmony For the Homeless. Poor children of Bengaluru (Bangalore), India, listen to classical Indian music with rapt attention. Filmed ten years before Danny Boyle's Slumdog Millionaire. During my four years living in Bangalore (I am from the USA) I discovered the tremendous love the local poor children had for music-- including classical Indian music, once they had the opportunity to listen to it on headphones. I would be surrounded by the kids all clamoring to listen to my headphones whenever I entered the street. So, I eventually hired a lady to make the music more available to the kids. As a result, many hundreds of poverty-level children got to listen to great music from their cultural heritage. I no longer live in India, but would encourage anyone desirous of spreading the joy of great music to children who would otherwise not have an opportunity to hear it, to do what they can to make the music available through headphones. I personally find the term "slumdog" offensive and demeaning. I used it in the title here because it was practical in drawing viewers to view the picture. Typical Range of the Spektrum DX6i Transmitter is approx 3000 feet and with that test it resulted with the following relative formula. 5 feet from the can equaled approx 480 feet 10 feet from the can equaled approx 793 feet 15 feet from the can equaled approx 1156 feet 20 feet from the can equaled approx 1780 feet All 3 of these HK orange park flyer receivers are flyable, based on these results. However, I do not have faith in the Hobby King Turnigy servos for this plane, so reverted to some good old (made in USA Kraft KPS 15 II Servos) The HK UBEC has been working flawlessly, however a 4.8 v receiver battery would be less likely to fail than this UBEC using a 7.4 LiPo. 1999 - Le Mans - Peter Dumbreck's massive accident
At 8.40pm approx we had a simply huge accident when Peter Dumbreck in his Mercedes CLR (also driven by Christophe Bouchet and Nick Heidfield) flipped and took off. Everybody had worried about just this happening and sadly it did. The car flipped at least 30 feet in the air and then crashed high into the trees and as it rolled it landed on its wheels. The marshalls were stunned and not unnaturally took a moment to react. It was a big one . Immediately the Mercedes Team closed the #6 pit garage doors, this is a traditional way of withdrawing the #6 car. The accident happened midway between Mulsanne and Indianapolis, luckily this in an area where there were no spectators. Aerial shots show that the car came to rest about 10-15 metres away from the track having flown around a couple of hundred yards before crashing into the trees . It didn't look as if the car rolled. While all this was going on the #2 Toyota is back in its garage, everybody was expecting it, the engine cover is off and they are changing the discs. There are two safety cars out on the circuit out while they sort out this major incident several cars have seized the chance to go to the pits. At 21:09 hrs our information is that Peter Dumbreck is, amazingly, not seriously injured and will of course be shipped off to Hospital for a check up. He may have been saved serious injury since the car fell through the trees and landed on its wheels and possibly rolled several times. The general feeling amongst the media <b>...</b>

Yoshi's Island Nursery and Baby Mobile
Created over the course of approx. 4 months for the room painting and an additional few months to create the Lakitu/ Yoshi mobile. Turn on Annotations to see additional details on the video. Thanks for watching! The background was applied/ textured using multiple latex paint colors, while the main elements were created using acrylic paints. The Mobile consists of a Lakitu made from Sculpey brand modeling clay with wire/foil armature and then painted using acrylic paints. The circuitry is comprised of an Arduino Duemilanove, wave shield with a LCD screen, re-purposed SNES controller (the shoulder buttons where already bad), and a small motor to drive the baby Yoshis. My awesome mother in law created the fabric sleeve and pyramid shape covering by hand. Special Thanks to RetroLefty on the Arduino.cc Forums for help with relay circuit!
