Ardea part1 (English subs)

First part of our no-budget epic post-apoc movie: Ardea. Screened at the Icon2009 Festival of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Roleplaying, in Tel Aviv. Synopsis: A student of "The Intertribal Academy of New Arkmar" in the 25th century tells of Ardea, a revered heroine from the 24th century. She tries to find the true Ardea in the tangle of fiction spun around her. Ardea, who was born in a pastoral tribe and wedded at the age of 14, is known for killing her husband with the aid of poisoned mustard, wearing his clothes and going abroad, promoting a quiet revolution convincing other women to demand rights they never had before in their tribal society. Ardea has become infamous as a danger to the society but later, as times changed, she became a symbol of liberation and struggle for equality. Her admirers are especially many in the city of Arkmar, which she helped to revive and turn into the first equalitarian town in the land. The student questions Ardea's alleged achievements and acts of heroism and asks weather the heroine did really mean to convey the message we put in her mouth.
