Asolute: Nice quality video recorded live in the studio from Top Of The Pops 1984. As heard on . Scritti Politti are a British band, originally formed in 1977 in Leeds, Yorkshire, England. Although there have been various changes to the line-up, Cardiff-born singer-songwriter Green Gartside was the founding member of the band and the only member to have remained throughout the group's history. Initially a left-wing-inspired post-punk British rock group, Scritti Politti developed into a more mainstream pop music project in the early to mid 1980s, enjoying significant success in the record charts in the UK and the US. Scritti Politti originally consisted of Gartside (born Paul Julian Strohmeyer) as the lead vocalist, Nial Jinks as bass player, Tom Morley as drummer, and Matthew Kay as the manager who sometimes played the keyboard. Morley also created much of the artwork on the band's album covers. Gartside and Jinks had gone to school together in South Wales, and Gartside met Morley at Leeds Polytechnic, a college they both attended. They played one show as The Against in 1976, doing covers of Chelsea songs. Disillusioned and bored with art school, Gartside and Morley left in June 1978 and moved into a squat at 1 Carol Street in Camden Town, London. Jinks was invited to join the band. (1) Temperature (2) Nature of solute or solvent (3) Pressure EFFECT OF TEMPERATURE Generally in many cases solubility increases with the rise in temperature and decreases with the fall of temperature but it is not necessary in all cases. However we must follow two behaviors: In endothermic process solubility increases with the increase in temperature and vice versa. For example: solubility of potassium nitrate increases with the increase in . temperature. In exothermic process solubility decrease with the increase in temperature. My cat's health was deteriorating whitin 3 weeks and almost died from jaundice. She couldn't walk anymore, she wasn't eating and not drinking anymore. We called at the veterary's place and they said that she doesn't have any chances to live really unless there is a miracle that happens. The treatments were really expensive including hospitalisation, 800$ for 3 weeks staying at the vetenary's with a solute attached to her paw. My mother didn't want to spend all this money and they wanted to give her injection but I said no to give her a second chance :-) Everyday we were going there seeing her in her cage she looked so pitty :-( she was getting so exited when we were talking to her opening the cage recognising me I love herrrrrrr she is soooo soooo adorable! by Lena Wang, Thomas Cui, Seok Min Lee, Joyce Yin Chong In this group video, our topic dealt specifically with the different properties of water that we have learned in the lectures. Some of the topics we touched upon on in this video are solvent in H2O, adhesion and cohesion of H2O, high specific heat of H2O, and the surface tension of H2O. As we began this project, we formulated that the ideal way of demonstrating theses characteristics of water is do perform real life demonstrations. In showing how solvent dissolves in H20, we used soy sauce as a solvent to dissolve into water, which is a solute. After this demo, we realized that H20 indeed do flow from low to high concentrations as it tries to maintain even distribution throughout H20. In terms of adhesion and cohesions properties, our demonstrations of attempted "Water Split" and " Sticky Water on Leaves" suggests the relationships of how the hydrogen and oxygen bonding can allow water itself to act distinguishably different from other type of fluids. As we take a look at the high specific heat of H2O, we realize that water can only be boiled at a certain time and temperature. As seen in our demonstration, water vibrates and forms bubbles at temperature rises. This is possible when as heat exerts pressures that push the Hydrogen and Oxygen bonding together.
