Sabina Babayeva - When The Music Dies (Azerbaijan) First Rehearsal

Powered by www.eurovision.tv Today for the very first time, Azerbaijan's Sabina Babayeva graced the Crystal Hall stage in her home town. We watched her first rehearsal so come and see how it went! Sabina Babayeva entered the stage for her first rehearsal in a very grand white frock adorned with silver sequins, feathers and with a long train. Her backing singers were wearing light gray dresses with white headscarfs and stand to the right of Sabina. She is also joined on stage by Alim Qasinov, a traditional mugam performer to add a more traditional Azerbaijani tone to the performance. He sits on a glass platform to the left behind Sabina. Sabina's first soundcheck was very impressive and she received raptuous applause several times during the song by the press and fans watching in the arena. Although we shouldn't forget that she is singing on home turf so there was a lot of support for her in the arena. The performance starts with a white spotlights shining down on Sabina and the backing acts with an abstract image moving on the LED screens, of paint being splashed. The song has a very sad and passionate story so as it progresses and gains power, the colours turn to deep shades of red and the backing images start to become more kinetic and fiery.

Azerbaijan: Where East Meets West, Spy Meets Spy : NPR

The small Central Asian country of Azerbaijan has found itself caught up in the rising international tensions over neighboring Iran and its nuclear program. Despite traditional ties with Iran, the former Soviet republic has increasingly aligned itself with the West, and with Israel. An incident at a recent soccer match in the Iranian city of Tabriz is still a point of pride in Azerbaijan. In the middle of the match, hundreds of ethnic Azeris in the crowd broke out their national flags and began to chant that the city belongs to them. The video was a big hit in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. It was a rare demonstration by Iran's ethnic Azeri minority, many of whom argue that northern Iran should be part of a greater Azerbaijan — a sentiment that is shared by many in Baku. And that is not the only point of tension between the two Central Asian neighbors. Recently, Baku and Tehran have traded accusations of cross-border conspiracies and assassinations. www.npr.org

Unknown Bi-Pedal Creature Discovered In Azerbaijan 2012

The fresh skeleton of an unknown creature possibly a Dinosaur or mutated Chupacabra, was found by local residents in Tartar, a district of Azerbaijan on Friday. Local officials and residents claim that they have never seen anything like this before. A representative of the Veterinary Department of Terter said, this is the first time we have encountered anything like this, the remains of the beast were very fresh, possibly weeks old, and the creature, judging by its structure and build was a buck, certainly bi-pedal, able to walk on his hind legs, its scary to think also, that this might have been the young of something much much bigger. Azerbaijan "Black January" the commie massacre

Link to the "CaspianReport" YouTube channel: www.youtube.com The Eurasian nation of Azerbaijan (Republic of Azerbaijan) was established in 1918 and conquered by the Evil Empire, the Soviet Union, Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics -- USSR in 1920. It was the first democratic secular nation in the Muslim world (prior to being gobbled up by the Evil Empire). From 1920 to 1991 they were part of a communist empire, commie-led land. 1990 to resolve a conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia Soviet dictator sent commie troops to the capital city of Azerbaijan, Baku. During the four month occupation the commies murdered over five-hundred Azerbaijan civilians. Around one million Azerbaijan citizens filled the square in Baku to protest Soviet commie troops after four months of occupation. The Soviets pulled the commie military out of Baku rather than commit another Tiananmen Square. The year before in 1989 the commies in Commie-led China (The Middle Kingdom) massacred 7000 to 10000 Chinese peaceful protestors in Tiananmen Square. Each January in Azerbaijan, called "Black January" (Black Saturday or January Massacre) those murdered by the commies are remembered and honored.
