Another childhood favorite that scared the hell out of me. I was only five years old when I first saw this on HBO and I vividly remember being so scared. It took many many years for me to finally track this video down. But I finally did a couple of years ago. This is a classic, timeless short. Taz Review: This is yet another animated version of the Legend of Sleepy Hollow worth recommending, but not to be confused with the Disney version. Some reviewers have left reviews for certain versions on the wrong pages at Amazon, as so many do not have a picture. But if you check for the studio, catalog number, and date of release it will help. It is easy to confuse these, there are quite a few live action and animated versions available by different studios. It is amazing that the short story of the headless horseman as written by Washington Irving has inspired so many films. The one on this page was produced by Dave Adams and Nick Bosustow of "Bosustow Entertainment" in 1974. Some of their productions were often shown in theatres in the 60's and 70's, but this short film was released to video by Little Golden Books/Western Publishing in 1992. This film is a wonderful little combination of highly stylized limited animation and illustrations in a very unique art style. And Friedman has a gravitational pull in Ufology and science fields. Not to mention that nearly every website.... 'one will engine sort', has this conviction of being against his personal record (character background). But George Knapp (very respected journalist) and John Lear (highly regarded pilot and credentials with the government) who personally witnessed the truly frightful suffering and public persecutions with humiliations of Bob Lazar after making public to his allegations and claims. And it wasn't just your around the mill people doing it but the government themselves.....like somebody was out to get Bob and make his life miserable to the ends. And so far Bob Lazar has yet to falter in remaining consistent to his details in the 20 odd years without the need to take advantage of self importance and to even exaggerate his stories over time. So it's hard to just dismiss his claims. An angel is banished to the cold plains of purgatory. Purged was completed before I started work on Tarboy, and I figured it was about time I packaged and released it on Newgrounds and Youtube. It was my third year animation project in college and the first larger scale short film I completed. It was also the first project completed that Hania and I collaborated on. The production of this was an absolute nightmare to say the least. Working on this project was the reason I decided to do Tarboy completely in Flash. My overall pipeline for animation looked something like this: 1.Draw images on paper. 2. Scan into Photoshop for digital paint. 3. Bring into morphing software for head turns 4. Export into Flash for character animation. 5. Export into Adobe After Effects for compositing. 6. Export into Premier for Editing. I'm thinking this will receive a mixed response, but at this stage I'm glad it's finally out.
