
Here's what I wrote them after they denied to return my $45 bag fee: Tracy Thanks for responding so quickly. I realize you're just doing your job. You're abiding by the slew of crafty policies given to you by your corporate overlords to keep employed (aren't we all...). However, in doing so, you're contradicting yourself, first stating baggage fees are "completely optional", then in the next paragraph saying " and for a fee we allow one carry-on bag. " Now your statements are only true and within reason for brief 1-day/2-day travel, but during the holidays and other prolonged travel, you absolutely have no other choice to carry on semi-large luggage (which I spent a great deal of time rationing to get everything necessary in the bag for my trip). Would you rather I Fed-Ex my luggage??...see, now we're getting into the absurd in terms of consumer choice. It's not just you, but at least policies of every other airline allow you the ability to carry-on bags for free...making it "optional" as you say. They have very similar aircraft and realize that a plane the size of a Boeing 737 or an Airbus A319/A320 there's one spot for a carry-on bag and one spot for a roller suitcase for each and every seat on the plane. Finally, your boss will tell you I don't understand business and you guys made $50 million in revenue with your bag fee scheme. This won't last because it's based solely on uninformed consumers, like myself, who won't do repeat business...like myself. Sorry, but these <b>...</b>
