"Descoperă eroul din tine" 2010: Mihai Barbu
În patru luni, Mihai Barbu (30 de ani) a străbătut, pe motocicletă, miile de km care despart Romania de Mongolia. Mihai şi-a planificat călătoria timp de doi ani. Cu o lună înainte de plecare, şi-a dat seama că i-ar prinde bine nişte bani în plus faţă de bugetul alocat iniţial. Exact banii de benzină. Pentru că nu mai avea timp sa obtina parteneriate pentru difuzarea unor reportaje de pe drum, lui Mihai ia venit o idee originala: a împărţit drumul său în segmente de câte 500 de kilometri şi în schimbul a 50 de euro pentru fiecare segment vândut a oferit cumpărătorului povestea si fotografiile realizate pe bucata respectivă de drum. Numele fiecăruia a fost scris pe un abţibild lipit pe parbrizul lui Doyle -- motocicleta cu care a plecat la drum. În urma postării anunţului pe un forum de motociclism, Mihai a vândut toti kilometri în mai puţin de două săptămâni. 43 de oameni au primit drept chitanţă un abţibild cu logo-ul Mongolia.ro şi câte o scrisoare. De meserie, Mihai este fotoreporter şi a colaborat cu cotidiene naţionale precum România Liberă sau Evenimentul Zilei, dar şi cu agenţii internaţionale de ştiri, precum Reuters sau AFP. Talentul său pentru fotografie a fost apreciat de mai multe organizaţii profesionale din ţară, precum Asociatia Fotografilor de Presa din Romania sau Clubul Român de Presă.
