Police Brutality - Officer Beats Special Ed Kid
A 15-year-old student at a special needs school got a lesson in police brutality. Marshawn Pitts, who attends the Academy for Learning in the south suburb of Dolton, was slammed into a locker and thrown to the ground by an unidentified police officer as he was taking Pitts to the principals office for an untucked shirt. A security camera installed in one of the schools halls caught the entire confrontation, which ended with a broken nose for Pitts, who lay motionless while the officer sat on him. The fight allegedly broke out after the officer asked the student to tuck his shirt in, a policy enforced in the school. The boys attorney, Ed Manzke, says the video will help Pitts cause. Were fortunate that it [the beating] was caught on videotape, he told the Chicago Tribune. There is nothing [the officer] can say that could justify [the beating]. The video shows the police officer and the student walking down a hall. After saying something to a woman standing there, Pitts is violently pushed against the lockers by the officer, who then proceeds to pin the student to the floor. As the fight starts, students in adjacent classrooms try to walk out of class, but are blocked by other teachers. Once the student is on the floor, two other men run up to the officer, but its unclear if they were trying to block or help him.

Judge sentenced FLOYD MAYWEATHER to 90 Days in jail for Beating Up Baby Mama in front of kids.
Floyd Mayweather Jr. got hammered by a judge, who just sentenced him to serve 90 days in jail for beating up his baby mama in front of their kids. Floyd was sentenced to 6 months in jail, but 3 months of that sentence was suspended. He also gets 3 days credit for time he has already served. TMZ broke the story ... the boxer was arrested in September 2010 -- after his ex-girlfriend accused him of striking her "multiple times in the head with his fist" and then threatening to kill her. Floyd struck a plea deal with prosecutors in the case -- in which he pled guilty to misdemeanor domestic violence ... in exchange for getting a pass on the felony battery charge. Floyd also pled no contest to two misdemeanor harassment charges -- after allegedly threatening to beat his kids too during the incident. The judge was especially pissed that Mayweather struck his baby mama in front of their kids. The judge also ordered Mayweather to complete 100 hours of community service and a 12-month domestic violence program. He was fined $2500 ... which to Floyd is like a poker hand. Man Beaten By Cop Gets $350000 Settlement
Ronnie Holloway, the schizophrenic man beaten by Passaic Police Officer Joseph Rios III during an arrest two years ago, accepted a $350000 settlement earlier this year in which he agreed not to sue the city, documents show. The settlement, obtained by The Record and Herald News on Friday, precludes Holloway or any of his heirs from collecting further damages from the city, the Passaic Police Department, Rios, or his partner during the arrest, Erica Rivera. Rios was acquitted last week of police brutality charges in state court, and the settlement prohibits Holloway from any further legal action, such as filing a civil rights lawsuit in US District Court. The settlement also releases the city from responsibility for future medical costs associated with the beating. Taxpayers are still not off the hook, however. Rios was suspended for two years without pay while awaiting trial. Now that he's been acquitted, Rios is seeking reinstatement — and that will likely cost the city nearly $200000 in back pay, based on his salary of $97294. "Our position is that Officer Rios should be reinstated as soon as we work out the details," said his attorney, Anthony Iacullo. "We plan to meet with Mayor Blanco, the City Council and Chief Diaz sometime next week." The city is not expected to oppose Rios' reinstatement, although the timing of his return to the department could not be worse. The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX TAS by Swordless Link (1:00:02.68)
This tool-assisted speedrun by Swordless Link (me) aims to beat The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX in as little a time as possible while still collecting all 8 instruments from the dungeons. It was made on an emulator, using frame-by-frame shooting, savestates, and rerecords to overcome things like reaction time and human error. As such, it is purely a form of entertainment, and is not designed to show skill. What separates this run from the glitched run is that no screenwarping or doghouse glitches are done in this run. It was the best way to define a category which would justify this run's existence. This TAS is the result of 7 months of hard work on the game. My intial goal was to improve the previous run by at most, 2 minutes. I ended up beating it by 9 minutes and 47.25 seconds. I'm very proud of this run, and am more than satisfied with my final time. There's no way this run would've been possible without help from others, most notably, Tompa, who devoted a lot of time to me and my run to help get it as good as it could be. This run was made by me. It should not be uploaded without first getting permission from me. Any anti-TAS comments will be deleted. A soccer fan runs onto the field holding a sign. Gets tackled by 4 police. Fine right? I understand they need to do their job and be safe. I get it. But then as the 4 police are trying to arrest the subject, they decide several hard shots with the butt end of a billy-club is in order. They soon found out society does not take kindly to adrenaline seeking thug cops. Near the end of the video, the one cop who was using the billy-club was running away with his tail between his legs. Not so tough when the tables are turned. I also do not believe that was the type of adrenaline rush he was looking for. Unfortunately this type of thing happens far to often. The good cops, the ones who respect civil liberties and human rights, are few and far between.
