Modern hip hop fusion is a new dance art form. It is a combination of modern and hip hop dances. The training methods are based on the new ways in which the body can move. Once a year all the dancers of Nederlands Dans Theater get the opportunity to make a choreography themselves for their collegue dancers and finally show it on stage at the public. The money earned with this performance goes, like every year, to a good cause. This year it goes to Stichting Sumba Care, Sumba, Indonesia. One day we decided to record some dancing in the city. The instrumental version of Viva La Vida seemed to fit to the spirit of Florence and the spot we choose was very close to our apartment. Normally the "Plaza Michelangelo" it is full of visitors so to avoid the crowd we woke up very early and we were the first once walking in the city. Hope you will like it.

So what is your story of what we tell? The Story We Tell is the performance we made for Gala evening of new choreographies on the music of Slovenian duo Silence. The performance took place in Cabkarjev dom Ljubljana, National theatre in Nova Gorica, Auditorium Portoroz, Auditorium Zanon Udine and National Theatre Belgrade. Chained it is a choreographic duet in which the movement research have been inspired by the image of the chain. Complicated variations of movement without loosing a contact create the illusion of two bodies that move like one. The idea of being free in it or from it passes their minds. Are they able to move together without losing the contact - when the tempo of live increases and everything is getting more complicated? So just one day we spontaneuslly went outside with camera, stative and music. This short movie we made in Slovenia in one day. That was a lot of fun. :) When we were about to record "Dead and Gone" from Travis Garland the rain came so we dance in the rain, was really nice but also very slippery and that was the only one image we recorded in the rain because rain stop short after we stop dancing. Just after dancing in the rain, we dance in the wet grass I am yours and the sun was already shinning. Locations were next to each other, just to the beach we drive 22 minutes.:) Then in the evening we visited uncle of Nastja where the beginning and the end of the video were recorded.
