Droid Bionic Review - The Best Android Phone?

Droid Bionic Review Everyone knows that the Droid Bionic was long overdue by the time it landed in September, though the $300 contract price sent some people running to the hills regardless. Meanwhile, others found this Moto handset's dual-core 1 GHz processor, 1 GB RAM, 4.3-inch qHD display and 4G/LTE support impossible to resist. So is this top-of-the-line Android phone worth the hype? Well, long story short, it has tremendous call quality and signal (at least where I am), great battery life and snappy performance. So I'm impressed with this handset — so much that I'll even say that I could use this as my daily driver (and I have, for about the last three weeks). For more details explaining why, check out the full video review, including performance test results and a look at the user interface. Then let me know — anyone taking the big leap and grabbing this premium handset? Follow Us on Twitter: www.twitter.com Like Us on Facebook: www.facebook.com Check Us Out on Google + tchno.be

Droid Bionic Unboxing & Hands On!

Droid Bionic Unboxing & Hands On! Unboxing one of the fastest phones on the market, the Motorola Droid Bionic. Here ye, here ye — Please note, tech fans, that the Droid Bionic has finally, finally landed on Verizon. Moto's long-awaited 4G LTE Droid Bionic puts a dual-core 1 GHz processor, 1 GB RAM in your hands, and 4.3-inch qHD display, all in a svelte, supermodel-thin form factor. As far as specs go, this is no slouch, but that's not the most stunning aspect of this debut — it's the accessories. Also available is a compatible HD Station, which lets users view pics and media on any HDTV or monitor. Just hook up your own HDMI cable, and you're viewing your device's multimedia stash, streaming content or webpages on the big screen. Or pick up the Lapdock, and turn the phone into a laptop with a 11.6-inch screen, keyboard and trackpad. I was hoping this Lapdock would be less than AT&T's debut price, but it's actually on par with it, at $299.97. (At least there's a limited time mail-in rebate of $100, with the Lapdock and a qualifying data plan.) Other accessories include a Vehicle Navigation Dock ($39.99), Battery Dock with extra battery ($49.99) and an Adapter for Webtop Application ($29.99). The HD Station is priced at $99.99. Not interested in accessories? Then you can pick up the Droid Bionic alone for $299.99 (with two-year contract). What do you think? Does it look to you like it's worth the whopping sticker price? Bionic contact lenses in development

nma.tv Bionic contact lenses have been in development for several years! Engineers at the University of Washington have been working on contact lenses with circuits in them with the goal of being able to display words or images in your line of sight, like in Terminator movies. A prototype which can display a tiny LED light has successfully been tested in the eyes of rabbits... proving that it should be safe for humans! The goal is for the lenses to be used for reading short emails, text messages and news. In the future possibilities are pretty amazing. It could act as your GPS while you're driving, help you look up information, and even augment reality. These lenses contain electronic circuits are made from metal that is one-thousandth the thickness of a human hair. The LED light is one-third of a millimeter in diameter. The circular antenna connects to a power source, which right now is a nearby wireless battery. The engineers are saying the lenses could also be helpful in monitoring blood sugar levels in the body and sending out a signal in case of an emergency. Let's imagine what the future could look like the battery could be in an earpiece, where you could control the lens display by using voice recognition, like Siri. Your computer/phone and additional controls could be in your watch. You could have night vision. Maybe you could zoom into things. And what about entertainment and gaming? This would take virtual reality to a new level, in many ways. It's only a matter ...

A schoolgirl from Swindon has become the youngest person in Europe to be fitted with bionic fingers. Chloe Holmes, 15, lost her her fingers as a toddler when she suffered from septicaemia after contracting chickenpox. She wore a prosthetic hand until her family paid £38000 for the hi-tech hand. Her father Pete Holmes said: "We'd go out as a family and people would stare for the wrong reasons - they stare now in amazement."

Some stuff that I noted as working: touchscreen, accelerometer, adb Lots of work to be done still, but it's a start! From phone release to purchase to root to recovery to CM in about a week! Motorola DROID Bionic Review Part 1

For more news on the Bionic, check out pdog.ws After nine months of leaks and blurry pictures, the Motorola DROID Bionic is finally here. Featuring a completely new design, the flagship 4G LTE smartphone offers a 1 GHz dual-core processor, 4.3-inch qHD display, 8-megapixel camera with 1080p HD video recording capabilities, a front-facing shooter, large 1735 mAh battery, and Android 2.3 with Motorola's custom UI. It bridges the gap between Verizon's high-end, dual-core 3G lineup and their 4G (but underpowered) group. It's available now for $299.99 with a two-year contract. Even though it's way late, the DROID Bionic is still an impressively spec'd device, but the market is moving much faster than it was in January. Is it worth dropping the cash for now, or should you wait on other high-end Verizon Android phones like the Nexus Prime? We'll debate it. Part 1 of 2.
