"It's Not Who We Are"

This is New Hampshire. We believe freedom--means freedom for everyone, every single person. Politicians should let our neighbors live their lives and leave them alone." Those are the key messages coming from everyday New Hampshire citizens in a new television ad aimed at persuading state legislators to oppose House Bill (HB) 437 and to listen to the people, who overwhelmingly reject repealing the state's popular freedom to marry law and any attempt to take away freedoms from Granite State families. Christopher Hitchens (6/6) on Media Bias, Bipartisanship, Politics (1996)

April 5, 1996 www.amazon.com Watch the full program: thefilmarchived.blogspot.com In a two-party system, bipartisan refers to any bill, act, resolution, or any other action of a political body in which both of the major political parties are in agreement. Often, compromises are called bipartisan if they reconcile the desires of both parties from an original version of legislation or other proposal. Failure to attain bipartisan support in such a system can easily lead to gridlock, often angering each other and their constituencies. Bipartisanship can also be between two or more opposite groups (eg liberal and conservative) to agree and determine a plan of action on an urgent matter that is of great importance to their voters. This interpretation brings bipartisanship closer to the more applied notion of postpartisan decision-making; a solution-focused approach that creates a governance model with third-party arbiters used to detect bias. Bi-Partisan Government WON'T work...

it sounds like a great idea. Everybody working together for the greater good. But, "our" government is too entrenched in this US against THEM. Democrat versus Republican drama for it ever to happen. Even if someone comes up with a good idea. they'll never get it passed by the other side. it's why NOTHING ever gets done. and problems never get SOLVED.

A bi-partisan effort...to have no energy plan.

It's been 40 years and we're importing nearly 60% of our oil. EIA says OPEC revenues will hit $750 billion in 2010, up 32% from 2009. We're clearly funding both sides of the war.
White House Health Care Summit Part I

Congressional Democrats and Republicans gathered at Blair House for a discussion on health care legislation with President Obama. He first announced the idea for this event during a Super Bowl Sunday interview with CBS news Anchor Katie Couric. Since then, the President has released a health care plan drawing largely from two bills passed by House and Senate Democrats. We heard opening comments from the President and congressional leaders followed by discussions on health care costs, insurance reforms, deficit reduction and expanding coverage.

Big Gov't Forces Health Care Bill Despite Bi-partisan Opposition

www.infowars.com IN A SPECIAL NEWS BULLETIN, Alex Jones warns against the Big Government, Big Insurance Health Care Bill being forced down in the Senate despite opposition by members in both parties and an overwhelming majority of Americans. After all the denial, the final version of the bill proves to have in place the so-called death panels, the abortion funding, no public option, cuts in Medicare and forced coverage backed by heavy fines or prison. Outrageously, Senator Reid & co. have added a section to the bill, Section 3403, that prevents any future Congress from changing the Medicare Advisory Boards (ie the 'death panels'). Section 3403 reads "it shall not be in order in the Senate or the House of Representatives to consider any bill, resolution, amendment, or conference report that would repeal or otherwise change this subsection."
