Blackadder-Sense&Senility Part 1/4

Blackadder the Third is set in the late 18th and early 19th centuries, a period known as the Regency. For much of this time, King George III was incapacitated due to poor mental health, and his son George, the Prince of Wales, acted as regent. During this period, he was known as "the Prince Regent". When an assassination attempt is made on the prince, against Blackadder's wishes, the prince hires two actors to help him improve his image, by means of elocution lessons. Guest starring writer and comic Ben Elton as the Anarchist, and Kenneth Connor and Hugh Paddick as the actors Mossop and Keanrick.

My favourite blackadder episode ever :D Every line delivered is clever and funny. Love the french accent, so funny :) The scornful Blackadder accepts a bet from the foppish lords Smedley and Topper that he can rescue an aristo himself. Of course, actually going to France would be insanely dangerous, so Blackadder simply picks up a French toff at Mrs Miggins' coffee shop.

Blackadder II scene with Queen Elizabeth I

This is a scene Blackadder II, an old British comedy series set in Tudor England during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I. Blackadder was played by Rowan Atkinson, who most people will know as Mr Bean. In this scene, Blackadder has returned from a voyage of exploration with the hope of impressing the Queen and winning her affections. Unfortunately the gifts he offers her weren't quite up to scratch and besides the Queen has gone off explorers. Miranda Richardson was memorable as Queen Elizabeth, she was utterly amazing and very witty too with her tantrums and bad tempers.

Prince George is Lucky!

This is Hugh Laurie (House), back in the day, playing Prince George in the British television series Blackadder. Blackadder is Prince George's butler played by Rowen Atkins of the Mr. Bean fame. The ciniving Blackadder is always trying to wrest power from the very dim Prince George. In this scene Blackadder has just said something Prince George doesn't understand. And well not to look stupid, he replies...
