Slow motion Explosion
This is the same few explosions only slowed down. If you look closely behind the 55-gallon drum, you can see the 16-guage wire going up the embankment. I'm situtated behind a mound of rocks and dirt way above the explosion. The top of the barrel zinging up into the air landed 550 ft from the blast. It's the only part of the explosion I actually saw where I was situated. There is about a 1.5 sec delay after you throw the switch (using 6v lantern battery).

ANNMAL Shaped Charge Explosion with Copper Cone
It was about 200g non active ANNMAl. It didn't blow all the way through the steel, but about 2/3 of the way through; probably too much standoff distance. I'm still pleased with the results though. When it detonates, you can see thousands of tiny red hot pieces of steel shrapnel go everywhere; that's why I placed it behind that boulder.

Plastic Cup Glass Cone Shaped Charge Explosion
Well this determines it. You do need some kind of metal walled container for a shaped charge to work properly unless you have a very high VOD explosive. Otherwise, it doesn't focus the cone into a high speed jet of material. In this one I replaced the steel pipe with an upside down plastic cup. It didn't blow a hole in the steel, but it still made a huge shockwave which I felt strongly over my whole body. Used about 300g ANNMAl.

Explaining Fukushima Earthquake Nuclear Reactor Explosion - Melayu Pt 1 of 3
I understand that the information in the public media is quite overwhelming to the majority who are concerned about this issue. This is my first attempt at explaining what actually goes on at the Fukushima nuclear plant right now, based only on what's available on the public media, as we don't really know what's really happening at the site. This is also an attempt to show you the source of the explosion and the issues surrounding the decisions that was made, but an important note is - It was not a nuclear detonation. I have left out some bits and pieces during the making of the video, one of them is that the diesel generator DID work as designed after shutdown, but it worked only for about an hour, and then it is assumed that it got knocked down by a tsunami. I am sure they will investigate the cause once they're back on their feet. Thus, they were left with batteries to pump coolant to the plant - at its most critical moment when temperature rose. This is normal during reactor shutdown, heat will build up because fission product population does not decay quickly enough because of the lack of neutron sources. (Non operating reactor = no neutrons). It is important to note that the reactor has already shutdown, and they are trying to deal with residual heat which could cause a meltdown, but nowhere Chernobyl because Chernobyl melt down while operating. The Modern Warfare nuclear explosion recreated in FPS Creator, taking advantage of Project Blue's new scripting commands. This entire scene uses 26 different scripts, 5 sound effects, and 3 HUDs. The level is complete once the player dies. Two sound effects were borrowed from Modern Warfare. And before everyone starts saying how unrealistic it is and that the player would have been instantly obliterated and permanently blinded due to being so close to the blast zone, it was not created with realism in mind, but to look good and be dramatic. Performance is very high as the actual mushroom cloud and smoke effect are only billboards - that's a total of a massive FOUR polygons =) The only performance hit may come from the bloom effects used - but it looks fine without them as I have added fake bloom to the mushroom cloud.

This one worked great, the 3 foot tube filled with J4 detonated all the way into the ground, to the main charge of 6 pounds of ammonal c. I wanted to have the main charge much deeper, but the ground is so damn hard, it's almost like trying to dig into cement. For the next big one, I'm going to try to find a pond, and see what a big detonation under water looks like.
