Dr. Hal Blatman, MD, speaks about "Becoming an Integrative Physician" at the Changing the Global Healthcare Landscape Symposium. This symposium, sponsored by the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada Association, brought together some of the brightest minds in natural health care and insurance advocacy to discuss the future of CAM on October 27-28 2010 in Victoria, British Colombia, Canada. Dr. Hall Blatman, MD, is the founder and medical director of the Blatman Pain Clinic, and is a nationally recognized specialist in treating myofascial pain. He is board certified in both Pain Management and Occupational and Environmental Medicine. After receiving his medical degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania in 1980, Dr. Blatman completed two years of training in orthopedic surgery. He later studies ergonomics during his residency in Occupational and Environmental Medicine.

A renegade "Best of Boston 40-enniel" exhibition was presented at Boston's Museum of Fine Arts at 7 pm Wednesday, June 15, 2011. The exhibition marks the 40th anniversary of the legendary exhibition "Flush with the Walls," in which six Boston artists—Bob Guillemin, Kristin Johnson, Todd McKie, Martin Mull, David Raymond and Jo Sandman—snuck their art into a men's room at the MFA for a renegade, joke exhibition on June 15, 1971. A report in the newspaper Boston After Dark at the time said "Flush with the Walls" ingeniously and wittily pointed out "that the men's room seems to be the only place in the Museum of Fine Arts that an exhibit by contemporary local artists can be seen." In this spirit, and in honor of the original show a group 21 Boston-area artists and collaboratives will again, without permission, sneak their drawings, prints, photos and sculptures into a pair of bathrooms at the Museum of Fine Arts, 465 Huntington Ave., Boston, Massachusetts, on June 15. Saving the Bay
Saving the Bay is a lively and timely public television series about one of America's greatest natural resources -- San Francisco Bay. Being shot in HDTV for national broadcast, Saving the Bay consists of four one-hour episodes focusing on the geological, cultural, and developmental history of San Francisco Bay and the larger northern California watershed from the Sierra Nevada mountains to the Farallon Islands in the Pacific Ocean. Conceived as more than purely a television series, Saving the Bay is a huge public education project designed to raise awareness about San Francisco Bay -- its evolution, how we almost lost and then saved the Bay, and how we are planning the future of the Bay including wetland restoration, increased public access and balancing the often competing needs of a fragile ecosystem which is the centerpiece of a major urban area with over 7 million people. Production is scheduled for completion by the end of 2007 with the first airings planned for April 2008 on Northern California Public Television -- KQED, KTEH and KCAH. National distribution will follow.
