Me: Shoulder, meet blood pressure cuff... So I put a blood pressure cuff around my upper arm very close to my shoulder tightly and inflated it to 300, I got the shoulder pain to go away and left it there but as I expected my arm started turning blue due to oxygen desaturation. Even freakier was the fact I couldn't move it or feel anything in that arm. My arm's nervous system was pretty much electrically disconnected from my spinal cord.. Theoretically if I did this with 4 cuffs on all 4 limbs I could easily simulate total quadriplegic paralysis... hmmm. but back to my story. I was kind of panicked and also kind of like "woah this is cool lets mess with my dead arm" then in the end I release the pressure in the cuff and let my arm reperfuse with blood and it's back to new... after being NUMB NUMB NUMB for about a minute.
