Bobby Fischer Vs. Garry Kasparov - Sicilian Najdorf Defense - Fischer-Sozin Attack

♕ 50+ minutes of more FREE previews: bit.ly ♕ MORE INFO ►: www.onlinechesslessons.net ♕ facebook.com ♕ twitter.com Bobby Fischer Vs. Garry Kasparov - Sicilian Najdorf Defense (Part 1 of 5) - The Sicilian Najdorf is one of the sharpest openings in chess, demanding incredible energy and resourcefulness from both sides to maintain the balance in strongly double-edged positions. The Fischer-Sozin Attack with 6. Bc4 is well known as one of the most complicated lines in the Najdorf, as white immediately declares his aggressive intentions of controlling the critical d5 square and increasing the pressure on the a2-g8 diagonal. The line was originally patented in the early 20th century by the Russian player Veniamin Innokentevich Sozin, however Bobby Fischer's immense contributions to the development of theory in the 6. Bc4 variation earned him widespread recognition in the 1950s and 1960s. The Fischer-Sozin Attack is an extremely dangerous weapon for white against the Sicilian Najdorf and should definitely be taken seriously by Najdorf players of any level. The Fischer-Sozin Attack has been employed by many top grandmasters through the years, most notably by Bobby Fischer, Dragoljub Velimirovic, Liviu Nisipeanu, Andrei Volokitin, Nigel Short, and Sergei Rublevsky. Garry Kasparov vs. Bobby Fischer - Sicilian Najdorf - 6. Bg5 System (pt 2/5)

♕ 50+ minutes of more FREE previews: bit.ly ♕ MORE INFO ►: www.onlinechesslessons.net ♕ facebook.com ♕ twitter.com Garry Kasparov vs Bobby Fischer - Video Series (Part 2 of 5) The 6. Bg5 Main Line of the Sicilian Najdorf is one of the most thoroughly researched and investigated lines in opening theory, as the naturally forcing nature of white's aggressive set-up leads to extremely complicated positions very early in the opening and middlegame. The 6. Bg5 set-up also frequently occurs through transpositions from the Richter-Rauzer and other related openings for white against the Sicilian Defense, however leading grandmasters have been unable to arrive at a conclusive evaluation about the line. The 6. Bg5 line in the Sicilian Najdorf is based around white establishing consistent pressure in the center with constant threats of exploding the position with a timely e5 break. In the 21st century, the popularity of the 6. Bg5 line has declined at the highest levels as many top grandmaster refuse to play e4 and allow black to achieve such dangerous counterplay with the Sicilian. The 6. Bg5 variation of the Sicilian Najdorf has been employed by notable players such as Mikhail Tal, Vasily Smyslov, Paul Keres, Jan Timman, and Milan Matulovic. Interface used ICC: www.chessclub.com

Bobby Fischer vs Pal Benko - Crushing the Pirc Defense

♕ MORE INFO ►: www.onlinechesslessons.net ♕ facebook.com ♕ twitter.com Bobby Fischer vs Pal Benko, Round 10 of the 1963/64 US Championship: Bobby Fischer went 11/11 at the 1963 US Championship, thoroughly establishing his dominance as the best chess player the United States had ever produced. In round 10 of this legendary performance, he faced off against the strong Grandmaster Pal Benko. Fischer opened with e4 and Benko responded with the complicated Pirc Defense - leading to Fischer employing the Austrian Attack to gain a strong center and attacking chances against the black king. Benko began to play strange moves early in the opening, opening up his own kingside with 11. ...gxf5 and proceeding to falter with the passive defensive move 15. ...Kh8? - allowing Fischer to play 16. Qg4 and establish a temporary bind on black's counterplay involving an ...f5 break. Benko continued his passive defense with 16. ...c6?! and 17. ...Qe8? - allowing Fischer to play a devastating shot with 18. Bxd4 and 19. Rf6!! after which black was unable to recover. This is a fantastic attacking game and perfectly demonstrates why you never want to defend passively! PGN AT: www.chessgames.com Interface used ICC: www.chessclub.com

Bobby Fischer On Spassky Rematch

Bobby Fischer interview after becoming the 11th World Chess Champion. LM Brian Wall On Bobby Fischer: Bobby said and did things no one else ever said or did. At 12 he told his correspondence opponents he was going to be World Champion. How does a 12 year old sense his destiny already? At 28 he said, The Russians have had MY title for 10 years. I am on a mission from God to take the title away from the Russians. Every game is a challenge I must meet. As Bobby was preparing for his next opponent, his friend GM Helgi Olafsson said, "Why bother? " Bobby replied , " You can afford to think that way, I can't." Bobby knew his great strength and made funny jokes. On giving up Board 1 to Larsen at the USSR vs World match at Euwe's request because he hadn't played in a year and a half, I must have been crazy. On beating Taimanov and Larsen 6-0, I am going to send a telegram to Spassky congratulating him on the right to play me. Bobby seemed inhumanly powerful and supremely confident. The game made a strong impression on me- 1. Bobby didn't get embroiled in Nimzovich-Larsen Chess with a reversed Dutch, he set up his own system where Larsen did not control e5 as a springboard to attack. 2. Bobby never left the board, he used every ounce of energy to win. He would complain to the organizers about disturbing crowd noise. 3. Bobby beating Larsen 6-0 was probably the greatest Chess spectacle ever witnessed. No other World Championship Chess Candidates matches in history, past or future ...

Bobby Fischer Against the World - Film Clip

The center of media attention, Fischer was never equipped for a life in the spotlight. ♕ FULL DVD ►: www.onlinechesslessons.net ♕ ARTICLE ► : www.onlinechesslessons.net ♕ facebook.com ♕ twitter.com Fischer meets the Scandinavian Defense (1.e4 d5) with the sharp 6. Qf3 and then sacrifices his c-pawn to complete his development and gain the half open c-file. Once his own king is secure, Fischer gives Black the bishop pair with 11. Bxf6 and tries to blast open the center with 12. d5! Although black keeps the center closed with 12. ...e5, Bobby gives a textbook demonstration of play on the light squares (e4 and f5). Black manages to collect the white pawn on d5, but after 19. Rfd1! and 20. Nc3! the black defenses begin to crumble. The crushing exchange sacrifice 21. Rxd5! was followed by 23. Rb1 and penetration with 24. Rxb7. In the final position, Karpov explains why Black's king in the center is surrounded and doomed.
