In photography, bokeh is one of the most incredible implementations of Aperture. The shallow depth of field causes any light in the background to blur into a floating orb. In this tutorial, we go through how to create bokeh using Photoshop, with simply beautiful results. Bokeh is derived from the Japanese word Boke which means blur or haze. In the late 1990s though, when boke photography was becoming popular, the word was changed to bokeh to help us english speaking people say it properly. I honestly believe this is one of the greatest tutorials on PhotoGuides to date, partly because it shows you how to create such a beautiful image, but also because it opens peoples eyes to the power of the brushes engine, and this demonstration can expand peoples abilities on Photoshop enormously.

New Fucked Up MP3: theneedledrop.com Though it is fun to see Bibio cover so much ground on this album--jumping from cowbell rock ballads to odd electronics without batting an eye--the songs behind the sounds aren't doing all that much for me. Not that this album isn't tuneful. In many respects it is. "Light Sleep" and "Take Off Your Shirt" are two examples. My issue is that the songs don't stand out that much to me. Bibio's abilities as a sonic chameleon are really what steal the show. But will only keep me entertained for so many listens. It was a thrill at first, but this thing turned kinda gray kinda fast for me, sadly. Still, a track like "Excuses" is proof this guy can thrill me under the proper conditions. I don't hate the album. I'm just kind of on the fence with it, sadly. Maybe Bibio's future output will do more for me. But what do you think of this LP? Should I have liked it more? Do you like it more than me? Why? This was another project that I completed at UTS during my first semester 2009. We were suppose to do an Experimental film on a Bolex, shooting 16mm and I decided to do something calm and relaxing. I did a few strange things while shooting (not very, but hey) which was shooting everything without a light meter, using Kodak Vision3 500T (not strange at all), keeping everything out of focus, doing an off the wall telecine which made it look even flatter etc. Everything was done in order for you to just watch this visual poem and let the audio bring you in. I had the great privilege to meet a guy called Adam VW on another shoot that I helped out on. He showed me some of his own music and it was just excellent, in fact, they were so good that I decided to use them in the clip in order to create a night time dreamscape/lowbudget music video. I'm fairly satisfied with the end result and if it wasn't for Adam's music, it wouldn't even be close to be a watchable film.
