Color it with the markers. Let it dry for an hour or two or speed it up by using a blow dryer or heat gun. Set aside. ■ LENGTH OF REXLACE: Cut two pieces of clear Rexlace about 60 inches long. If you have smaller wrists you can decrease by 5 inches, larger you can increase by 5 inches. This is my shortened version of how to make a survival bracelet with paracord. I did so many takes on this video, I had to settle for the best one. I forgot to mention that this knot is called the "cobra" knot. You can also do a "king cobra" knot by tying the cobra knot again on top of an already finished cobra knot (this makes a bracelet of the same thickness of the ones I show at the beginning of the video). Also, I did the duo tone (OD green and black) by simply fusing two different colors together on my knot rope. You can do this by just melting the ends and then pushing the ends together quickly before they solidify. Hope this makes some kind of sense and helps if you are trying to learn how to do it!

Cut your base strings roughly 24 inches long and then fold them and knot at the end. The loop will be where you tie on your bracelet. NOTE: For individual strings (unfolded) you will want about 12 inches per strand. (You may use as many base strings as you want but I wouldn't use less than three because I feel the pattern will look off with only two strings The method is the same just knot across until you reach the end of your specific number of strands.) The scrap threads will need to be about 5 or 6 inches long. You can use long strings that are not scraps and tie them on then cut them after the row and continue reusing them if you want. I just decided to use scraps since I had them but fresh string may be used as well. So... set up your strings like you would an alpha and tie on to the first strand and make one forward (4) knot. You do not need two because knotting it on is taking place of one of the two knots. For all the other strings you will resume the "two knots per strand" method and continue until you reach the end.
