☏ Closure Basics: Braid patterns & Placement
***Tip: I always sew on my closure prior to sewing on my wefts! ALWAYS!*** Here is the braid pattern I use when applying my closures. This works with both silk and lace closures. For the closure behind the hairline, you can apply it either with or without the anchor braid. The photos in this video are for demonstrative purposes only. Your braids should be MUCH much smaller and MUCH much neater than those dispayed. Deep Moisture Method & Braid Pattern I Wear Under My Wigs
This is how I do the deep moisture method on my hair. My protective style of choice is cornrow braids. The deep moisture method consists of dampening your dry hair, applying a moisturizing deep conditioner, sealing and then putting it away in a low manipulation protective style (braids, twists). After taking down your braids/twists you then treat your hair with a protein conditioning treatment and repeat the process all over again. It starts off dark but I move to a brighter room eventually so you will be able to see the braids and parting etc. I braid my own hair or pay $10 to have someone else braid my hair in this beehive (kinda) pattern. How to achieve a heavy swoop band with a sew in. This video shows step by steps on what braid pattern to use, track placement, weft folding and how to create the look with the option of wearing a high ponytail. Folding the wefts rather than cutting them will help prolong the life of your wefts and sew in install. The braid pattern in this video can be altered to achieve different styles. Just switch up the shape of the leave-out. For the high ponytail, you must leave out your edges and nape. Just about an inch should be fine, but please take into consideration how full your edges and nape are and leave out enough hair to cover the tracks.
