Step 1: Select a Bronzer --------------------------------------------------------------------- Pick out a bronzer that is a little bit darker than your skin tone. Use it lightly to begin because it is easier to add more rather than remove it if it's too dark. Step 2: Apply Bronzer --------------------------------------------------------------------- Dust a large, soft brush into the bronzer and then apply it to your face. Start at the top of your face near the hairline, which is a natural place to appear sun-kissed when you're outside. Focus most of the color at the hairline. Apply sweeps of bronzer to your cheek bones and jawline. You can imagine that you're drawing a "3" on each side of your face, connecting the hairline, cheek bone and jawline. Don't fill in every part of your face with bronzer. You can also apply a little bit of bronzer to your neck if you're wearing a low-cut shirt. Step 3: Apply Blush --------------------------------------------------------------------- Sometimes bronzer is not enough and you can apply blush to give your face additional color. Hello! This is a video covering how I contour and apply bronzing products. In this video, I am applying the Soleil Tan de Chanel Bronzing Makeup Base (Bronze Universel) and I am also using NARS Laguna just to even everything out and given a nice hint of discreet, non-offensive shimmer. Tips for contouring: ***Understand your face.*** Look at the angles and the geometrical terrain of your face and plan a course of action. Reference online face charts and find the product(s) that works best for you. I know the face looks a little dark at the end. I had not yet bronzed the neck to even everything out. Plus, I applied the bronzing products a little darker than I usually would in the hopes that it would show up on camera. The photos of me scattered throughout the video are more accurate in terms of my skin tone and the results of the bronzing effort. I will soon be getting new lighting, a new format, and much improved videos. I am continuing to strive to deliver the highest quality videos on YouTube. NYX Tango Bronzer A very sheer, shimmery bronzer that suits light to medium skin types best. I would have liked to have seen more "matte" shades but alas - this was not the case. Obviously a real tan doesn't shimmer - but i know many people like shimmering bronzers. These go on sheer but are build-able and give a very nice finish on the skin. You can tell there is mineral oil here by the way these go on so smoothly. After having these now for 3 months i would not re-purchase but ... they are still nice, sheer bronzers for those looking. Maybe a bigger shade selection so that women of colour can have a choice would be very nice. This video is my official review of Guerlains Terracotta Light Summer Bronzing Powder * 02 Brunettes* Description from Sephoras Website : The legendary iridescent bronzing powder is reinvented for spring/summer 2010 with intensely concentrated particles of mother-of-pearl to enhance already-golden complexions. Warmed by copper accents for olive skin or glints of pink for fairer skin, this bronzing powder has never been this alluring. Basics: 0.35 oz. for $50.00 (one of the more hefty price tags indeed). If you don't like a lot of bronzer or are always worried about applying too much then you will enjoy this product, as you are able to build up the color. However, if you like or need a lot more color, there are more pigmented bronzers out there such as the original Terracotta. Product has a light scent (kinda like the old person scent), but it isn't irritating and goes away immediately after application. *By the way, I am not being derogative in any senseI just use the old person phrase due to the need to quickly institute widespread understanding. This bronzer is great because of the combo of peach, bronze, brown, gold, and terracotta, which gives the right amount of color. I believe it comes off more as a peachy-bronze on my complexion. I also like the subtle shimmer (as it is shimmer done the right way). I also like that it has no orange, muddy tonesthis would be great for both youthful and more mature skin! I understand that this video and technique is NOT for everyone! Considering that I am showing all of you how to create a sun tanned appearance using makeup, I have a feeling that many of the guys that view this will not accept it as "skin care for men". HOWEVER, my goal is to share knowledge with those of you that ARE interested in exploring different methods to look your best. In this video, I give a brief review of Clinique Skin Supplies for Men: Non-Streak Bronzer. This is basically a sheer gel that you can apply full strength (which I wouldn't recommend) or mix in with your daily moisturizer to create as dark of a tan that you would like. It is NOT a self-tanner, this product will wash off at the end of the day, which is great because if you mess up you can always redo it! Also this product is fragrance and oil free, which is a huge plus! It costs about $15, and you can purchase it from Sephora, Clinique, etc. Let me know what you think, enjoy!
