Modest Petrovich Mussorgsky (also spelled Musorgsky, Moussorgsky Russian: Модест Петрович Мусоргский) (March 21 [OS March 9], 1839 March 28 [OS March 16], 1881), one of the Russian composers known as the Five, was an innovator of Russian music in the romantic period. He strove to achieve a uniquely Russian musical identity, often in deliberate defiance of the established conventions of Western music. Many of his works were inspired by Russian history, Russian folklore, and other nationalist themes, including the opera Boris Godunov, the orchestral tone poem Night on Bald Mountain, and the piano suite Pictures at an Exhibition.

Yes, You,re right, Richard Wagner has nothing to do with it, and it was M. Ravel who arranged Mussorgsky's piano work to big symph orchestra. But I kept only the 1. half of the original and added "my original" 2. half. That,s why dared to make a little silly namejoke in the title, coz I,m Wagner too, though GB Sorry for the disappointment:) I,ve never understood why this very good, heavy part was left out by Keith Emerson when the ELP was making their Pictures at an Exhibiton album.
