Ford Focus 1.8 TDCi 115 engine problem - Cam belt change update & whistling noise

The problem has now been diagnosed. It's the high pressure pump. Update October 2011: Since the last video, I have had the cam belt and tensioner changed, new fuel filter, put Wynns injector cleaner & lubricator in the fuel tank, tried cleaning the EGR valve (without taking it off). The noises are still there so I guess the next step is to get the injectors looked at, if they are ok then the cylinder head will have to come off and be looked at. Also recently I have noticed the car is whistling when I accelerate at low speed, maybe a split or loose pipe. The rubber pipes on the intercooler look oily so I think I will change them first.

Timing belt replacement on my 1999 Audi A4 1.8T. The job took the better part of the day, but really only because I was taking care of some coolant leaks while I had it that far apart. Still trying to get the hang of editing, and feeling frustrated that I can't add the music I want because I purchased it from i-Tunes.

This is my 1993 Toyota Corolla AE100 with a 1.5L fuel injected 5A-FE engine. It's getting a new engine put in tomorrow, so I decided to give the old engine a bit of torture before it gets taken out. The engine in this video has done 228000km (141000 miles), and smokes a tiny bit on start-up due to the valve guides wearing out, it also needs the cambelt replaced - So I decided it was easier to chuck another 5AFE in it that has only done 60000km (37000 miles) and replace the cambelt at the same time. Vauxhall 16 valve red top powered Mini when things go bad !!

When Andy took this mad machine to Birmingham IMM2009 he wasnt epecting to see any trouble with his recently aquired and rebuilt 2 litre vaux powered mini engine , but it did on the third day in the Longbridge event he entered the car to the noisyest exhaust competition all went fine , we left the arena travelled 100 yards and heard a tink tink donk donk at which time i shouted turn it off !!! later back at the ranch a few weeks later we had a look and when removing the cam belt cover and discovered a spring lying on top of the timing belt in the bottom !! due to some monkeys absolute un proffesional decision to use something as feeble as a spring which could only be described as a throttle spring to keep the tensioner taught , the spring had jumped off causing the belt to aquire over an inch of play causing timing issues and ultimately with this type of interference engine to do the unspeakable . yes the valves met the pistons !!! jeeez £££££££££££££££££ ! forgive me for not getting something right on the subject but this is the first time i have ever had dealings with the 2.0L 16v XE engine , i have allways dealt with a series all my life , constructive comments are more than welcome and would apreciate some helpful hints to !

Renault Clio 16v Williams 172 Hybrid Track Car Compilation

A short compilation of the build that my Mk1 Renault Clio has undergone over the past year (September 2008 - October 2009). From 1.8 16v (F7P), to 2.0 16v (Williams F7R), and currently 2.0 16v (172 F4R), alot has changed. To go into the engines in more detail, the F7R was originally a Megane bottom end with a 1.8 Cylinder Head, which produced a poor result on the rolling road. The figures should have been around 150bhp, hence why the Williams cylinder head was rebuilt and fitted. The cambelt then snapped after a trackday at Oulton Park in December 2008. The engine was then re-built and ran again, but I wanted something to do over the winter, so the 172 (F4R) conversion began!
