Bus Rapid Transit in Cambridgeshire - The Busway (Northern Section)

The Busway is an innovative bus rapid transit system in Cambridgeshire. Photographs taken by Nigel Pennick in July 2011 of the northern section of line with test running of kerb-guided buses on the specially-designed concrete track which was made in a custom-built factory at Longstanton. The busway runs between north Cambridge and St Ives, with a spur through Orchard Park, with a southern section from the rail station to Addenbrooke's Hospital and the Trumpington park and ride. The northern section is operated by two different bus companies - Stagecoach and Go Whippet, the southern by Stagecoach only. The Stagecoach buses run on 100% biofuel. Accompanying music by The Traditional Music of Cambridgeshire Collective, Margaret Hiley, Jon Ward, Helen Starksfield and Nigel Pennick. Older bus operations - Derby youtu.be London youtu.be

Stolen car police chase - Cambridgeshire police onboard camera footage

Read more swns.com - A dangerous driver who narrowly missed hitting a train as he smashed through a barrier during a high-speed police chase from Peterborough to Whittlesey has been jailed. Terrence Fowler (20), of Peyton Avenue, March, was caged for three-and-a-half years for a string of offences carried out in a six-mile chase from Peterborough city centre to Whittlesey. Peterborough Crown Court was shown CCTV footage that revealed the terrifying moment on June 20 last year when Fowler crashed into level-crossing barriers at King's Dyke, Whittlesey, just seconds before a 120-tonne train travelling at 75mph went through the junction. Police began to chase Fowler on London Road after a red Mercedes he had taken from a friend to give a pregnant woman a lift into the city centre was reported stolen.

CHEMTRAIL RALLY 9th July 2011 DUXFORD, CAMBRIDGESHIRE

duxford.iwm.org.uk Good people of England. It is with a heavy heart that i have to tell you that foreign air forces, in collusion with our own air force and leaders, have been spraying our skies with deadly biological weapons for the last 10 years. The effect on our health and the environment is at present incalculable. Until now we have lacked the information and the fortitude to combat this ever-present evil. i am dispatching teams of sky watchers across southern England, whose contribution to the infowar, un-phased by public opinion, mockery and media propaganda, has been invalid, un-daunting and wholly effective. we have contacted the government, the air force and innumerable agencies having warned that unless we heard from them by 11 o'clock May day, a state of infowar would exist between us. i have to tell you now that no such undertaking has been received and that consequently, this country is at infowar with the chemtrail operations. The battle of Britain has NOT ended. The chemtrail battle of britain has just begun. The Chemtrail Rally will be held from 11am, 9th July 2011 near Duxford airfield, Cambridgeshire to coincide with the Flying Legends air show. This is a massive public event near to London and being a former Battle of Britain airfield perhaps we can shame the air force should we encounter any unwelcome treatment by the authorities. The exact location will be revealed nearer the time for obvious reasons. I am appealing for help with this rally so please ...

The CBC is no ordinary choir: it is Britain's only independent vocal training establishment devoted exclusively to the training of boys' voices in the Bel Canto tradition. The CBC boys sound like opera singers because they are trained as opera singers. Soloists: Oliver Hayes(sop.), Daniel Fisher and Ian Ford(altos) 'Mary Stuart's payer', Maria Stuarda opera, Domenico Gaetano Maria Donizetti(1797-18480

I urge electors who are naturally independent - or who are presently undecided - to support me. If elected, I will listen, take advice, think things through for myself and make up my own mind on the important issues of the day, and I will act and vote accordingly, hopefully in the best interests of the whole of South East Cambridgeshire - my life-time home and the home of the ancestors of both my wife and myself. If you, too, prefer to think for yourself, then ... VOTE GEOFFREY WOOLLARD, INDEPENDENT, 4 SOUTH EAST CAMBRIDGESHIRE.

Cambridgeshire Prt2 10th November 2009

Mark and Deana are primarily moving for the benefit of their sons, so that they can live in a better environment and have a better quality of life than where they are living now. The first property they view is in the village of Haddenham, just south of the Cathedral City of Ely. Set in the middle of the village, which has a pub, post office and various shops, the house has its own hidden secrets and its location is only an hours commute to London. Passing through the hallway, with its Victorian floor tiles, we enter into the living room, which looks more like a church with lots of glass and oak beams. The stone floor hides the underfloor heating, much to the surprise of Mark who thought he saw a wood burning heater, but which turns out to be a gas fire. With the couple being heavily involved in the church in London, this house should suit them down to the ground. Moving through into the kitchen produces another "Wow" from Deana, it was only completed some 18 months ago, so is virtually brand new, and large!!. Upstairs the bedrooms seem to fit the bill, and the master bedroom even has an on suite bathroom. With a 300 metre garden, the boys will have plenty of room to run around, and it even has its own little man made pond. The property is actually over the couples budget, but Aled says that the owner will accept an offer, so could this be the property they choose. This is produced solely to promote Aled and his music.

Aled Jones Cambridgeshire Prt2

Cambridgeshire Prt1 10th November 2009

Todays programme sees Aled in the Fens of East Anglia, as he searches for a home for Mark and Deana Jordan in Cambridgeshire. A county where the fenland eel has been farmed and eaten for centuries, they were even used as currency in days gone by, as Aled says, if only that were the case today. Mark and Deana currently live in Ilford London with their two boys Joshua and Joel, they are looking for a four bedroomed house so that the boys can have their own bedroom, and there will also be room for guests to stay. They would also like a large garden for the boys to run around in, plus a study for Mark where he can do his work, a larger kitchen, three reception rooms, oh and Mark would like a music room too. When Aled meets up with Mark and Deana, he finds out that the budget for this search is £400000 and having sold their house already, they are desperate to find somewhere to live, since at present they are living in rented accomodation. This is produced solely to promote Aled and his music.

Aled Jones Cambridgeshire Prt1

Cambridgeshire Prt3 10th November 2009

Aled takes Mark and Deana to meet Peter Carter, who is one of the last eel fishermen in the region. Peter shows them how the traps are made, and invites them to have a go themselves. Unlike the last programme, where we saw Aled sample some oysters, he didnt get to try out any eels.. Moving onto our next property which is on the outskirts of Christchurch, it overlooks open fields and although it isnt in a village, there is one not far away, which has a pub and a few local shops. The original deeds to this property date back to 1840, but as recently as 2002, the property was extensively refurbished to a very high standard by its current owner. With its wooden floors they first take a look in the study, which could be retained as it is, or turned into the music room they require. The living room is very spacious, and has good views out onto the open countryside. Through to the sun room, which also has underfloor heating, it is overlooked by a gallery landing, and is used as a living come dining area at the moment. The house has a huge kitchen, with a oak beam from a local church over the cooking range, it also has a belfast sink, and utility room too.. Upstairs the couple find more space than they know what to do with, with four bedrooms and the master even has its own dressing room and on suite bathroom. This is produced solely to promote Aled and his music.

Route B. Cambridge Guided Busway. (fast version)

See the Cambridgeshire Busway, Route B in action. On normal roads from Drummer Street Bus Station, Cambridge, then to St Ives Bus Station. Via Orchard Park, on the world's longest guided busway. The Busway opened years late, on 07.08.11. Filmed from the top deck, front seat. Speeded up 3 1/2x faster than reality. The buses run along concrete guideway troughs. These were laid along 16 miles of the former Cambridge to St Ives railway. There is a similar extension towards the South of Cambridge towards the hospital and Trumpington. In the city the buses run on regular roads. The railway to St Ives last saw passengers in the 1970s, but continued as a goods line until the 90s. Trams Are tops is pleased the track is being used for something more than a dog walking track. However it would have been better as a train and tram system, with local connections by tram, and longer distances like London served by train. The Busway has a superb cycle way next to it running all the way to St Ives from Cambridge. This has been incorporated into National Cyele Route 55 SEE MORE BUSWAY ON NODDING CAT CHANNEL, check the PLAYLIST.
