It has been a whole week since I have last posted a video! A couple of friends and I traveled to Canada this past weekend to run at the BMO Vancouver Marathon. It was an incredible experience. This is a summary of our trip. I will start to have a regular posting schedule soon. I have not yet decided what kind of posting schedule I will make but let me know if you have any preference! The BMO Vancouver Marathon was hosted in downtown Vancouver, British Columbia. We took this spontaneous trip without any proper training or a hotel to stay at. Somehow, it worked out. Nerdz4L (YouTube friend from Canada) met us in downtown Vancouver. It took us about an hour and a half to find each other, but it was worth it. Repatriation Ceremony at CFB Trenton - A Soldier Returns Home. In 2010, I was producing a video The Highway Of Heroes Canada www.youtube.com I had made a few trips to the Pickering/Oshawa area overpasses to obtain footage of the procession along the 401 of our fallen soldiers returning home. On one occasion, I was permitted on the tarmac in Trenton to shoot video of the entire repatriation ceremony - from the plane arriving, to the motorcade leaving CFB Trenton. Producing this video has been a very sad yet moving experience. While there have been clips of various repatriation ceremonies shown on news and online, for this Remembrance Day, I'd like to share my footage of an entire ceremony. This video was shot in May of 2010 it was repatriation ceremony for Private Kevin Thomas McKay killed May 13, 2010 when an improvised explosive device detonated during a dismounted night patrol in the Panjwayi district, approximately 15 kilometres southwest of Kandahar City, at 8:00 pm Kandahar time.
