NASA's canceled spacecraft and rockets, Orion and Ares 1-X
NASA has been busy planning for a new spacecraft, the Crew Exploration Vehicle (CEV), to be able to rendezvous with the ISS and then to take a crew back to the moon in conjunction with the Lunar Surface Access Module (LSAM). A Crew Launch Vehicle, named Ares I, derived from the Space Shuttle Solid Rocket Booster (SRB) will deliver the CEV to low Earth Orbit (LEO) while a larger rocket, Ares 5, will deliver ISS cargo of the LSAM to LEO. Once in LEO, the CEV and LSAM will dock and a J-2X Earth Departure Stage (EDS) will deliver the CEV/LSAM to Low Lunar Orbit (LLO) at 100 km. The EDS is discarded and CEV/LSAM temporarily decouple. The LSAM then performs the Lunar Orbit Insertion (LOI) to deliver the LSAM to the lunar surface will all 4 astronauts onboard. After some amount of time on the surface, an ascent stage from the LSAM boosts the crew back to LLO and the ascent stage docks with the unattended CEV. The ascent stage is discarded and the service module section of the CEV boosts the crew module (with crew) towards Earth reentry, and the service module is then discarded. The crew module reenters the upper atmosphere and an ablative heat shield slows the craft to a point where it is captured by the Earth. Parachutes then slow the crew module for a land (or sea in emergencies) landing. Whew, safe at last from solar storms! Ares V will be able to launch 130 metric tons LEO inclined at 28.5 degrees or it can deliver 55 metric tons to trans-lunar orbit. By comparison, the <b>...</b>

JS MUGEN: Opening for canceled Predator movie
This was to be the sequel to the 45 minute Predator MUGEN movie called "The Reubenkee Virus Saga". The sequel was titled "Predator Hunt 2: The Urban Bounty Saga". It fell through because it was too ambitious and YouTube back in 2006 was limited to just 100MB per movie upload. Had to do an amazing amount of crappy compression to fit a 45 minute long movie under 100MB, and the sequel would have clocked in at over 1 hour easily, plus the weeks I'd need to spend animating all the cutscenes as shown in this trailer. the original cut of this trailer used music from Duran Duran's "Hungry Like a Wolf", as well as scores from both the first Predator movie and AI Artificial Intelligence. I replaced all of those with video game music for this upload. It's a shame because all those music pieces fit this trailer well. The original cut is what gave me one of the strikes against my old channel, due to the use of the Duran Duran music. No way I wanted to get a strike on my new one here.

-Please read before watching- Hello everyone! What you are about to see here is intro to my canceled Christmas project. It (no name yet) was supposed to be a full lenght comedy/adventure movie (around an hour or longer) with professional voice acting, exclusively composed music (not present in this preview) and more.People included in intro credits do not exist, I've just put random names there to see how it will look=). In addition I've rendered a small part of other project that I've been working on. A drama that would hopefully be a pretty big step forward from The Demise, with it's improved visuals (eventho I got much crappier PC now heh, got burnt 2 times from overheating while making it, had to change parts)narration, bit of voice acting and storyline with some suprises. In the footage shown there is a little girl but she is just a 2nd plan character, it's not a story about her. I'm telling you this so you won't think its another "The Demise" =P . While watching it please keep in mind that these are just tiny and incomplete alpha previews of big projects, therefore you won't understand what is going on. The reason I'm showing you these bits is that recently I had a very rough time in my private life (usual stuff, job crysis, rent not paid another month =P) and it doesn't seem to be getting any better anytime soon. Ghana Postal Workers - Work Music
Four postal workers use music to make the work of canceling stamps less boring. They were recorded at the University of Ghana post office in 1975 by James Koetting. Their song appears in the book/CD-Rom Worlds of Music: An Introduction to the Music of the World's Peoples. Description from Bloggio Oddio: This is what you are hearing; the two men seated at the table slap a letter rhythmically several times to bring it from the file to the position on the table where it is to be canceled (this act makes a light-sounding thud). The marker is inked one or more times (the lowest, most resonant sound you hear) and then stamped on the letter (the high-pitched mechanized sound you hear). As you can hear, the rhythm produced is not a simple one-two-three (bring forward the letter - ink the marker - stamp the letter). Rather, musical sensitivities take over. Several slaps on the letter to bring it down, repeated thuds of the marker in the ink pad and multiple cancelations of single letters are done for rhythmic interest. Such repetition slows down the work, but also makes it much more interesting for the workers. The other sounds you hear have nothing to do with the work itself. A third man has a pair of scissors that he clicks - not cutting anything, but adding to the rhythm. The scissors go "click, click, click, rest" [...] a basic rhythm used in popular dance music. The fourth worker simply whistles along. He and any of the other three workers who care to join him whistle popular <b>...</b>
