A short animation I made in early 2010 for "het Klokhuis", a long running dutch television program (since 1988) for kids. This animation (and others) can be found on the Klokhuis website: www.hetklokhuis.nl . There's a chance that they may be aired on television, but that isn't sure yet. I made this animation together with my group mate Arthur Gorissen (check his channel www.youtube.com !). It's a combination of clay and cardboard, animated digitally. Some of it was stop-motion animated (the toilet paper and the car). It was nice to experiment with real objects and digital animation. I did the concept, character design, clay sculptures, rigging, blue/greenscreen & keying, additional stop-motion animation, lighting & photography. And Arthur did concept, character design, set building & design, digital animation & lighting. Me and my project buddies used to watch the program a lot when we were young, so it was pretty exciting to do this project. The cool part was that every animation had to be a different style, to make it more playful. This allowed us to be as creative as we wanted to be. These are basically small instruction video's for simple games that kids can play with random household items when they're bored. Unfortunately it's only in dutch at the moment. The intro and outro were made by our group mate Nicky van Kessel. Don't forget to check the other animations on youtube or: www.hetklokhuis.nl
