Small, obviously by the heatsink and cable it had a life before being a CB Radio. And sure it does! This model is a sample for features, and they seem to be there by the bucket at the moment. CTSS, ASC, SCAN, 5 Roger Bleeps to annoy people, Backlight Blue like so many want, memory channels, time out time and where it gets interesting is the FUN and then press HI button :) This can make the radio alive with 4w, 15w and 50w FM Mode and on AM 4w, 15w and with the swing almost 50w comes from the radio. What will make the production version? This i do not know, but the Italians i think will love this one. Audio is something akin to the DX5000 / Colonia style with strong FM not so dark and on AM it is sharp, not toppy, not bassy but sounding real nice indeed. Cost will be king for this radio and they must leave it pretty much as it is now for people to be interested. On the back is a MICRO USB socket and this is where the programming of the radio will be. But what can be programmed? Another unknown at the moment. Time is needed and health to make more tests so bear with me please :) But wanted you to see the radio first when opened the box.........

Hello and thank you to all Subscribers who have followed me this year. I joined Youtube nearly four years ago to show my enjoyment of radio. Thankyou for all the kind comments when Operators hear me "On Air", it realy does make it worthwhile, even at times when i've thought of moving on and calling it a day. I had a very poor start to 2011 after much interest in the Sirio Gain Master and Anytone 5555 Reviews due to a health problems and many tests in the local hospital. This kept me from enjoying riding my Lambretta this year also. I have Reviewed some new products this year and also some of my classic radios , that I hope you have enjoyed. As from now (10/12/11) other than with any pre production samples, any Reviews I show will be with equipment purchased from Dealers or Distributors as I think some may think the're more unbiased reviews. I look foward to (hopefully!) AM and SSB been legalised within the United Kingdom by the Regulator. This is going to be great for many CB Radio Operators and Radio Amateurs who want to use a legal SSB service within the EU. I for one will be more than happy to use this Mode of operation with my 26AT callsign that is at present dormant. I think this will encourage more people onto the band, which is a good thing. The BDARC had a superb year and had some cracking Field days, again thank you for all your QSO's and we QSL 100%. So in general a good year for radio with some superb propagation on the Ham Bands and 11 Meters also. Hope to <b>...</b>

Uniden UH7700NB 80 channel UHF CB Radio I have had abusive comments from a particularly thick viewer who cant work out what I was refering to with the squelch. I will explain in the hope that similar sufferers of poor intellect may not be so enraged. The squelch has 10 levels. "Off" which is unmuted and allows all the background noise through. And 1 to 9 which gives a theoretically variable squelch control from 1 being just muted, up to 9 which should require a good strong signal to break the squelch. However, even position 1 requires a good strong signal to break the squelch and most weaker signals are not heard at the speaker. As it is impossible to turn the squelch down any further than 1, without unmuting it completely, I have to use this setting even though it is set to high for my preference. THAT is why I dont like the squelch control. I apologise to those viewers with some level of understanding for having to spell this out for the benefit of stupid people.

It's really new old stock. I have a fair number of radios in my collection that are like new but have been used some. This is the only truly new vintage radio I've purchased. From info I've found online it uses the PTBM048A0X Cybernet board with the 02A PLL chip. Manufactured in March of 1977.

He's a video of my CB and Police scanner install. I used 2 NMO antenna mounts, one above the 3rd brake light, and one about 6 inches to the right. I pulled the headliner down enough to drill the 3/4" hole and feed the coax through. It goes down one side behind the plastic, which comes out behind the rear seats. I fed it up the middle to my CB and police scanner. The CB and scanner are installed in an carpeted MDF box that I had made so I can remove it and roll the wires back when needed. It's wired through the upfitter switch which is more than capable of running both radios.

I've owned this Uniden Uniace 100 since December 1986, and it was second hand when I bought it. Although I have an Amateur Radio Foundation License, I still have a soft spot for this radio. I was unemployed, having not long left school, and saved up £30 from my giro. I bought it (boxed with the manual), from Night Rider, a CB shop which was in the front of a hairdressers shop in the Sandgate in Ayr. I wonder if anybody remembers that shop? Sorry for the poor quality video. The skip appeared very suddenly and I had no time to sort out lighting, Unusually for this time of year it was "local" skip, from within other parts of the UK and also it was after 5pm, well after sunset, when you would expect the HF bands to be shutting down. The first conversation is between Graham (108CT052), a local station in Irvine, and Bill (26CT482) in Kent, England. Other stations overheard include operators in Newport, South Wales and a mobile station on the M20 near Dover. At 3:30, an English station is replying to what is obviously an ignorant Scottish station. Note, these abusive and ignorant people do not speak for this nation. We are happy to speak to any station, English or otherwise. There are idiots all sides of the border and it's unfair to tar us all with the same brush. And to (respectfully) answer your question, the ROMANS built Hadrian's wall. Neither the English or the Scottish ;-) What's more amazing about this clip is that the only antenna I have for CB is a loft mounted 7 foot <b>...</b>
