Cerwin Vega XL 300.1 mono block amp
Cerwin Vega XL 300.1 mono block amp XL amplifiers use high-current MOSFET power supplies coupled with bipolar output transistors for superior signal control throughout the amplification process. Transparent thermal and overload protection circuits ensure that the amps are safeguarded to withstand the most demanding applications and conditions. The amps use terminal-style connections and controls are calibrated for easy adjustment. Features include Vega Bass boost control, a low-pass filter that keeps upper frequencies out of the subwoofers, and a subsonic filter that protects subwoofers from being overdriven. The cut-off point of the low-pass filter can be set anywhere from 50 to 250 Hz. The low pass filter has a slope of 12 dB per octave. Strapping capability allows two amplifiers to be bridged together (for example, one being used to amplify the positive part of the signal and the other used to amplify the negative part... this creates one large amplifier equal to twice the power of one XL- 300.1). you can run four of these amplifiers to one dual voice coil subwoofer! The XL-300.1 is rated at 150 watts of power into 4 ohms with less than 0.1% total harmonic distortion and 300 watts with less than 0.1% THD. Got a Nad c370 now =) In all of my stereo films it looks like the speakers nearly aint moving. But in IRL they are moving alot. It's the camera that sucks. My NAD c372 is sent to be fiksed at at shop. It was something wrong with it thats why the subs didnt move very much on the old videos...Så i borrowed a C325BEE so i at least have something to listen to music og while my NAD is getting fixed. Cerwin Vega VE5M Review
These speakers are amazingly loud for there size. They are very clear, and don't let there size fool you, they have very loud and clear base. However for very low songs such as some hip-hop/rap and r&b songs don't play as well. But what do you expect the speakers are rated to a minimum of 45 Hz. so a sub is strongly suggested The do handle highs very well. The only thing that is not clear online, is the type of connectors on the back. Different from the rest of the VE series is these speakers don't come with 5-way binding posts(which accept both raw wire and banana plugs) instead they come with regular clip connectors(which only fit raw wire, or monsters flex wire cables). As well I couldn't find anywhere online how many ohms these speakers were, it did however say right on the box. They are 8 ohms. And for 80 buck a pair you cant go wrong.=) I truly agree with anyone who says that Cerwin Vegas are the best speakers in the world.

15" Cerwin Vega Surround Replacement
I replaced the deteriorating foam surround on a 1990 model 152WR Cerwin Vega Subwoofer. The actual time spent was probably close to 40 minutes, mostly cleaning the old surround off. Then there was about an hour wait every time glue was applied and allowed to cure.

I have a '95 Range Rover 4.0SE, Sony Explode deck, stock Harmon Kardon system, which entails 3-way components in the front doors, 2-ways in the back doors, and a small sub in the rear. All driven by a Harmon Kardon 300 watt amp. The new edition to the RR is this slot ported box with two VMAX 10's, a 1 Farad Cap (need bigger) and a Memphis Audio 1000d (1265 watts @ 14 volts) Let me know what y'all think, cause I think it's the Sh*t!!!

Cerwin Vega AB36 In a Concrete Basement
Same sub, Same amp, but now in a basement with foot thick concrete floors and walls. Everyone wanted a new vid, so here it is. There are some power issues though, the wiring is 100+ years old, so, voltage drops abound, amp wasn't too happy about it and clipped early. It doesn't take much to make quarters bounce off the roof of an american SUV, but to make change bounce on a 100 lb dresser inside a large basement - a little more grunt is required. I didn't bother trying to find a room node to stick the sub and dresser in to maximize the effect, it's likely it's actually outside of a node and not really doing as well as it could because I just set the horn down right in front of it. Crap vid & crap cam, but I made it in like 3 minutes. This is BY FAR **NOT** the best or loudest bass cab, this is puny compared to other designs and rigs people have. A lab sub and a kick-bin or two (USB) would smack the pants off of this. Kanye West - Flashing Lights
