10 Classic Christian Metal Albums
These are 10 of my favorite Christian metal albums. I picked one album from each band in the video, noting that they were at least 10 years old and covered a number of styles from traditional heavy metal, to shred, to crossover, to thrash, to progressive death/"black" metal, and some doom death for good measure. Nothing particularly modern. The Six Feet Deep song is more classic hardcore/metalcore than straight out metal. I'm sure that will bother a few. Also, since it's not actually my top 10 favorites, picking just one favorite album from ten great bands, I listed them chronologically (hence the awkward placement of the Impellitteri clip). 10 classics, some probably lesser known simply because of their age. Bands listed: Stryper, Saint, The Crucified, Deliverance, Believer, Tourniquet, Paramaecium, Six Feet Deep, Impellitteri, Extol, Crimson Moonlight Note: This was made with the thought that it's tough to find a lot of great Christian metal out there, especially in a couple of these styles. There are hundreds of Christian metalcore/screamo/deathcore bands and not a whole lot of quality bands in these styles.
