This archival film clip is from Moyer's travel lecture series "India and Her People", held at the Human Studies Film Archives, Smithsonian Institution. Although the footage is silent, Moyer would have given a live lecture while screening the film. Apparently, he was welcome to shoot motion picture film outside the Dalai Lama's residence, but only still photographs inside. No I will not redo this series because it was basically the same thing (with a few differences) as It's My Life. It was my gem, my treasure, and some dumbfuck from Hawaii took it from me. Here are some show promos, openings and disclaimer-laden prescription drug ads for the trade aired during educational programming for doctors, taped off cable in November 1991. Most are from Lifetime Medical Television - a service Lifetime ran from 1983 to 1993, turning "television for women" into "the network for doctors only" every Sunday. A few are from a competing service, American Medical Television, run by the American Medical Association on CNBC. - "Milestones in Medicine" show opening - Ad for Seldane-D (a nonsedating antihistamine decongestant for allergy sufferers) - American Medical Television message on how to get full prescribing information on advertised drugs - AMT "Practical Medicine" bumper - Ad for Voltaren (a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug - NSAID - for arthritis) - starring a retired ballerina who apparently gets around, as this showed up several times on the tape. - Lifetime Medical Television promo - "Where doctors turn ... to learn." - Ad for Tagamet (a drug for ulcers) - a dutiful son running the family deli talks about the difference Tagamet made for his dad; includes the ironic line "Who's gonna pay $10 for a pound of coffee?" - Promo for "MedQuiz," a game show in which senior residents from Massachusetts General, Barnes Hospital in St. Louis and Stanford University Hospital are contestants. - Ad for Vasotec (adjunctive therapy for severe congestive heart failure) - this ad just about breaks my heart. - Ad for Feldene (NSAID for <b>...</b>

The General's Commands (circa 1900)
The music in this work depicts an imagined battle scene, which, in ancient China, usually began with a rousing drum performance designed to raise the morale of the soldiers. The general would then appear in front of his troops in order to give commands, to explain the tactics of the impending battle, and to encourage the soldiers. Finally, the army would advance forward to the battlefield where the battle would begin. This piece, one of the earliest Yang Qin solo works, vividly depicts this suspenseful sequence of events.

Another remix for the LP3 Circa Survive video updates. I got kind of lazy with this one and gave myself freedom on the drums.. couldn't quite get any good drum sounds from the video.
