circuit bent mini keyboard with glitch circuit and drum machine. the keyboard plays five different voices including duck dog cat and frog. it also plays toy piano tones. each circuit has its own pitch bend. there is a switch that syncs the keyplay with the rhythm from the drum machine. the glitch reset doesnt disturb the rest of the circuit. there is a four position switch to select from three drum beats. the black keys are function switches. from left to right they control rhythm start/stop, crash/rhythm1, bass/rhythm2, snare/rhythm3, and keyboard voice select switch. it has a built in speaker and a 1/8" output jack. runs off of 2 AA batteries.

Circuit Bent Korg KAOSS PAD 2...... It might be 10 years old, but it's still a mind-blowing little machine! I've added a Precision Oscillator circuit to the machine which allows additional modulation in the form of a big Pitch Knob and a Light Sensor (see end of vid). Glitch is provided by a pair of RAM-SCRAMBLING Rotary Switches, which transfor Delays and 'Verbs into rich Choppy / Tonal Ring Mods and Ropbot Sounds. Oh Yea, I also added some groovy GFOL artwork under the touch pad :)

I was looking for ideas and objects that I could use as cases to mount my WSGs (Weird Sound generators) in. Goodwill stores are great places to find odd (And possibly strange) things to use as cases. One item I saw, that i thought had possibilities was a lobster-shaped jello mold! but i thought it was a little too small to cram a WSG into....but maybe I'll go back and get that? Anyway...I found these fun kiddie toys that make noises. I'd like to try some more circuit-bending, and these looked like likely candidates.....Untill I got them home, and started playing with them, especially the one with the LEDs and touch screen! Once I discovered THAT part of the toy (Which i thought was just some kiddie karaoke machine) I wigged out on it for an hour. It would be a shame to destroy the touch-screen, or just rip the LEDs out of it. But maybe if I can really bend things, it could be some kind of controller for a SoundLab? Or vice-versa? Those patterns it makes with the lights could be synced up to the Oscillators or ADSR or filter circuits? Many possibilities....I just hope I don't destroy it BEFORE finding the best thing to do with it. And my hat is off like a wheel of swiss cheese to the MFOS and Electro-music folks!

I was so happy with the bends and echo unit that I assembled and took a test video at this point.
