This was shot at Weiser Idaho during the 2010 Grand National Fiddle Contest. I had just taken a workshop given by Tashina Clarridge and we learned to play a tune called Washington's March. After class Tashina graciously agreed to play the tune on my newest fiddle. A very sweet toned fiddle crafted by Frank Daniels and his father....Sam Daniels. Listen Very Carefully to Tristan's Waltz in this set. I say that because NOBODY plays a Waltz with as much Emotion as He does....NOBODY !! I would Crown him the King of Fiddle Waltz's in a heartbeat! His other tunes aren't that bad either ! ha ha ha ....What a talent ! I absolutely LOVE listening to him play the fiddle. Given that he is a five (5) time national champion fiddle player...I'm guessing I'm only one of many many fans. Thank you Tristan...looking forward to many more years of enjoyment of your music....and I'm bettin' there will be a few more national championships added to your name before it's all over. Truly one of the Great Musicians of our time !! Note: I am refering to this as rd 2...it may not actually be Tristan's second round set.
