On Monday morning, TMZ reported that Duff, 23, was dumped from The Story of Bonnie and Clyde, a developing film in which she was set to play the bank-robbing heroine. (Faye Dunaway was nominated for an Oscar playing the same role in 1967's Bonnie and Clyde.) Duff's just-announced pregnancy throws a wrench in the indie's planned production schedule. "Due to our obligations with investors and international buyers, it is imperative that we stick to our current schedule. Therefore, we are forced to explore other options for the role. Unfortunately this happens all the time in the world of filmmaking." Producers of the film told Us Weekly in a statement. As one source put it to TMZ, "Hilary won't be available until next June. If we could wait we would." Shooting is scheduled for this Fall. A public battle between Duff and original Bonnie actress Faye Dunaway erupted when the Oscar nominated actress said of Hilary's casting: 'Couldn't they at least cast a real actress?'Duff hit back at the Hollywood legend saying: 'I think that my fans that are going to go see the movie don't even know who she is'. Duff is 23, the same age Bonnie Parker was when she was gunned down with Clyde by police. Faye Dunaway was 27 when she played the role. So what do you think?
