CMWC 2009 PROMO VIDEO 1

On September 19th-23rd and the 26th, Tokyo will be home to the largest International Bicycle Messenger Race/Event in the world. We know you've all been waiting for a good excuse to visit Japan. Despite the bad global economy, we whole-heartedly hope that as many bicycle messengers and their friends will attend this event as possible. TKBMA has been working hard to prepare the most exciting cycling event imaginable. They've been studying to improve their English in order to better communicate with all the international messengers who will be coming to Tokyo. Are their efforts obvious? This video shows a BBQ party organized in order to promote the event, drum up new supporters and volunteers, and bring the organizers and volunteers closer together. The BBQ was held at Shiokaze Park in Odaiba (just a short walk from the site at which CMWC 2009 will be held). Gundam was in attendance, as well. But, he stayed powered-down, so no one was hurt.

CMWC 2001 Rubber Side Down (Part 1 of 4)

Directed by Tristan Verboven. Produced by Inforg Films. Every summer hundreds of bike messengers from all over the world leave the dangerous city streets that are their workplace and meet up in yet another exotic urban jungle to see who can deliver a package the fastest. In 2001 they invaded Budapest, Hungary and for a whole week all of the colours of the world competed in the Cycle Messenger World Championships 2001. Motivated simply by a desire to ride, race and party, these urban primitives formed a sea of spokes, skids and scars that Budapest will not soon forget.
