CROCODILES - I Wanna Kill

SEXBEAT003 - released 3rd August 2009 --------------------------------------------------------- sexbeat.bigcartel.com Crocodiles are Brandon Welchez and Charles Rowell, two bros from San Diego who make music that resembles Jesus and Mary Chain, dark and moody but molding this with that kinda typically west coast pop sensibility. I Wanna Kill a song not actually about killing people epitomizes this, a repetitive electronic beat provides the background to this wonderful pop song. The B-side to I Wanna Kill will be the dreamy surf pop ballad Here Comes The Sky. This will be SEXBEAT's first 7 single release. Were very excited. It will be available on Monday 3rd August and is limited to 300 copies. Follow this link to grab the goods: sexbeat.bigcartel.com

World's Largest Crocodile Captured

Mix your music! Learn GarageBand in 30 Days! mhlo.co Wildlife authorities in the Philippines say they have captured a 21-foot-long, 2370-pound saltwater crocodile, thought to be the largest creature of its kind now in captivity. The croc was captured in Agusan del Sur marsh on the southern Philippine island of Mindinao, according to a report on GMA News and has been blamed for a pair of fatal attacks . Hunters had been trying to capture it for 21 days, the report said. It was finally captured on Saturday by a team of about 30 men who used meat to bait it and an eight millimeter metal cable to snare it. The beast was caught in a creek by villagers who had lived in fear of it for more than 20 years. The monster-sized reptile is estimated to be at least 50 years old — saltwater crocodiles can live up to 100. Edwin Cox Elorde, mayor of the remote town of Bunawan near where the croc was caught, said the reptile will become the star of a nature park there, according to the AFP report. "The villagers, of course, are very happy that they have been able to turn this dangerous crocodile from a threat into an asset. He's a problem crocodile that needs to be taken from the wild ... and used for eco-tourism," Mayor Elorde told reporters. The previous largest crocodile in captivity is an 18-footer in Australia, according to Guinness World Records. Despite the capture of the 21-foot-long, one ton reptile, many other large crocodiles remain in the rivers and the local villagers have been ...

Live And Let Die Crocodile scene James Bond 007 Roger Moore

...Roger Moore as james bond 007 live and let die..Production began in 1972, with filming in Pinewood Studios, along with location shooting in New York City, New Orleans, Louisiana and Jamaica doubling for the fictional San Monique.[6] The producers were reportedly required to pay protection money to a local Harlem gang to ensure the crew's safety. When the cash ran out, they were "encouraged" to leave.[7] Ross Kananga suggested the jump on crocodiles, and was enlisted by the producers to do the stunt.[1] The scene took five takes to be completed, including one in which the last crocodile snapped at Kananga's heel, tearing his trousers.[2] The production also had trouble with snakes. The script supervisor was so afraid that she refused to be on set with them; an actor fainted while filming a scene where he is killed by a snake; Jane Seymour became terrified as a reptile got closer, and Geoffrey Holder only agreed to fall into the snake-filled casket because Princess Alexandra was visiting the set.[2] The boat chase was filmed on the Louisiana bayou, with some interruption caused by flooding.[3] 26 boats were built by the Glastron boat company for the film. Seventeen were destroyed during rehearsals.[8] The speedboat jump scene over the bayou, filmed with assistance with a specially-constructed ramp, unintentionally set a Guinness World Record at the time with 110 feet (34 m) cleared. Unfortunately, the waves created by the impact caused the following boat to flip over.[2 ...

Living with crocodiles in Mali

Huge killer crocodile caught

By JIM GOMEZ, Associated Press MANILA, Philippines (AP) — Relieved Filipino villagers threw a fiesta when they captured a one-ton crocodile, with about 100 people pulling the feared beast from a creek by rope then hoisting it by crane onto a truck. The party may have been premature. After the 20-foot (6.1-meter) saltwater crocodile was caught over the weekend, authorities said Tuesday an even bigger killer crocodile may lurk in creeks of the remote southern region. The crocodile — weighing 2370 pounds (1075 kilograms) and estimated to be at least 50 years old — is the biggest caught alive in the Philippines in recent years. Wildlife officials were trying to confirm whether it was the largest such catch in the world, said Theresa Mundita Lim of the government's Protected Areas and Wildlife Bureau. It was captured alive after a three-week hunt in Bunawan township in Agusan del Sur province, where villagers have been terrified. A child was killed two years ago in the township by a crocodile that was not caught, and a croc is suspected of killing a fisherman missing since July. Villagers witnessed a crocodile killing a water buffalo last month. Bunawan villagers celebrated after they caught the crocodile. "It was like a feast, so many villagers turned up," Mayor Edwin Cox Elorde said. Wildlife official Ronnie Sumiller, who has hunted "nuisance crocodiles" for 20 years and led the team behind the capture in Bunawan, said a search was under way for a possibly larger crocodile ...
