I played L4D on the map cs_assault and the AI director spawned started spawning zombies without any scripts on the map. I had a 30 min run and edited out anything not entertaining. Weapons and health were spawned by me. Short tutorial on how to get cs_assault in L4D: 1) Get the latest NET Framework. 2) Get GCFScape. 3) Extract materials, models and maps from counter strike shared.gfc which is in steam/steamapps to your L4D demo folder in steamapps/common/left 4 dead demo/left4dead. 4) Do the same with source models.gfc and source materials.gfc. 5) Run L4D, Enable Developer Console in Options. Type changelevel cs_assault in console after you have started a new singleplayer game. 6)Enjoy playing on Cs_Assault!

I'm planning on recording videos of levels and guns from the early beta versions of Counter-Strike. Right now I'm starting off with Beta 1.0/1.1, then I'll go on from there. Here's the first video; CS_Assault. Changes: - The hostages do not have their own room that's past the Terrorist's camera room. Instead, they're sitting around in the camera room. -There are no crates just past the back door into the warehouse. - A zig-zagging path is used to access the alternate way to the T's camera room instead of the final's ladder. - The warehouse has no glasses that can be broken. - There is no vent that leads to the T's camera room. - The set of containers that provide an alternate path to the roof are not present. - The player cannot access the overpass near the main entrance to the warehouse. It is blocked off. - The gate on the opposite side of the warehouse is not open. - The area past the previously-mentioned gate has much less details than it does in the final game.
