This is just a gorgeous song that really captures the delicateness of what is and what can be love. Damien Rice is extremly talented and his song writing truly captures the emotion and the vulnerability that is the human experiance... But for the chords... the song is rather simple the difficulty is really in the feel, and capturing that emotion that damien puts out there, i personally only dream of one day finding that special something in my performance.... But for the verse: its just an alternation between F, and C... Play the F chord (M,3,3,2,1,0) and hammer-on on the G string, and for the C chord (3,3,2,0,1,0) and hammer-on on the D String... As you approach the end of the verse your going to play a G chord but play it like this (3,2,0,0,0,M), then adding B string first fret like this (3,2,0,0,1,0) The chorus is very similar, your just going work through the same progression without the hammer-ons, once you get a feel for the song feel free to throw in the odd hammer-on into the chorus for dynamics, thats the beautiful thing about damien's writing it is so free and open for interpretation... So hopefully this little dialogue helps you out, and if it did check out my channel, i am slowly adding the chords to all the covers i do, and as per usual i'm just going to express a challenge, if my chords helped you learn the song record you're own version and post it as a video response, i'd love to hear to hear your personal take on the song! Ok good luck, and happy playing <b>...</b>
